As the title states, what are new lures to you, that you've never used before that you bought and still haven't used?

I know that I have swivel headed jigs and some Z-man craws that I've never used.

Way too many. Good marketing, Sales, Packaging, Dock Talk, I am a sucker for all of  it. I just figure I collect lures and use the same few 90% of the time. I try new lures when my go to lures are not working, so usually they do not produce which would make sense. I carry alot of sizes, colors"Just in case".

I think I just like buying new lures, My friends use them before I do, then if they do well I will start using it. With so many good options on the market, it is hard to use all the lures you accumulate over the years, and with all the $50 free shipping, or $100, I end up getting stuff I really don't need because I think I am saving money by not paying the $5 for shipping. At least I am aware that this is not rational, so therefore, I am not crazy right?

I love buying Spro Frogs, I have always been into collecting things and I used to collect Spinners as a kid, now I am working on getting all the Spro Colors when I only use 2-3 colors. I just love how they look and they make awesome color patterns. I do the same with Bomber Long A's.

I have lures that I haven't used since I buy them for my fishing lure collection.

I have used probably less than 25% of all crankbaits, jigs and types and sizes of plastics I own, less than half of my hollow bodied frogs, spinnerbaits and buzzbaits.

However, I have used and caught bass on almost all of my current stable of hard topwaters at least once. This can only mean one thing: It's time to get some more.

Too many :D

Most soft plastics I get either get occasional use or are burned through very quickly. For hard baits I only recently acquired a decent collection, where I bought a few for each type, for varying conditions (jerkbaits, lipless crank, squarebill, deep divers, poppers, spooks etc. in varying colors). Many of those have not seen much time on the water yet. There aren't many lures I have that have NEVER been used, but there are a pretty good amount that have never caught a fish, and probably have less than an hour on the water.

I have a BASS tote bag that is full of soft plastics. More than half of that bag has never been opened.. A lot of my soft baits came from LTB . I got some good stuff from LTB but there is a lot that will never be used. I think all of us have stuff that will never be used.. My wife says I'm crazy !!~ she might be right.!!!

I have some LTB lures I left in the package and have started filling a old school plastic 3 tray box. I'm thinking when it's full I might give it to someone starting out.

Then again when I'm struggling sometimes I reach for something that isn't in my normal batch of lures I have faith in. But I have one row of the three trays full so it's filling up.

I probably have a ton of new lures I never used half of that is plastics of all kinds. Due to working my time was limited. I'd get home at around 9:30 from fishing take a shower, sleep, shower and off to work. Weekends early mornings, and late evenings. Then I retired and fishing 24/7. I was always using what I knew worked but often tried new stuff.

The Orange spook sat in my tackle box for years. One day I tried it and the bass loved it.

Some custom crank baits that I got from a guy who paints them locally.  I know they're made to be fished, but the paint jobs on them are wicked

I'm too lazy to post all the lures I have never fished, but it's a lot of them.

During winter months I'm always purchasing news lures with the intent to fish them. Every purchase I make I have ideas in my head on how and where I would be fishing them. But come spring a lot of those ideas never get taken into action. To many lures not enough time. It's a processe that never ends and I'm sure this winter I'll keep buying more baits with an intent to fish them. I use an old dresser in a spare bedroom half organized to keep a lot of the unopened lures. Every now and then I go through them and pick some to give away to family and friends that I know will never be used

At least you make it to spring before they get officially parked.  I get boxes in the mail all the time that I open up and wonder "What the heck was I thinking?"  I'd bet that most of the stuff in that category was in a clearance page, or 'deep discounted'....probably half of what I buy from Outlet/Overstock never gets used.....is there a support group for us?

A lot of Megabass vision 110's.  I'm probably gonna try throwing them for smallies, but the places I fish have tons of submerged branches.  Its like using a $20 bill with hooks to catch fish.

I have a pack of "salt'n'pepper" flukes that have been sitting in my boat, unopened, for almost 2 years now...

Not sure if this fits the bill, but we hit a couple of sales on particular baits that I use often and I have a ton of spares of these lures that may never see water. Also have a lot of soft plastics that were purchased, but I have yet to use. It is probably more than I want to admit. Do I stop buying no, but I should.

Gary yamamoto hardbaits. I thought the finish looked nice at the store, so I bought some cranks. I still haven't even took them out of the package, let alone tied one on

I have a whole peg board full of baits that haven't been used, but I only have them to replace the ones I loose, or tear up.

I would venture to say that over half of the tackle I actually carry with me has never gotten wet. Mostly cranks and topwaters as I have my favorites and rarely venture outside my comfort zone.  Add to those, Swivel head jigs. Chatterbaits, Money Minnows, a couple of Lucky 13's and I likely have an extra 20lbs. of stuff I just have to take along 'just in case'

About 4 months ago I think it was Sports Authority that had a buy one, get the second at half price sale on Gary Yamamoto lures, I bought
four Yamamoto Tenkuu suspending jerkbaits. They are all still in the original box in my tackle box.

Mostly backups to lures that I do use.
