Bass fishing gift for dad

Help!  My dad's birthday is coming up and he loves bass fishing.  Any good ideas of what to get him? He has everything under the sun and i was looking for more of a fun novelty gift. Let me know if anyone has any good gifts they have received.

Custom painted crankbaits!  Some that I've bought from through FB with really nice paint jobs are Richard Prager and Bubonic.  Brandon's Handmade makes hand carved wooden lures, and he also sells stuff for AR Lures.  Would recommend all of them.

Typically, I'll get my dad on the water for Father's Day and a few other times throughout the year.  This year, I also bought him a decent spinning combo.  A few years back I took him and my brother on a guided trip for sharks.  To echo some of the suggestions listed above, he's enjoyed all of them, but he'll still bring up the shark trip years later.  Sometimes the memories and new experiences mean the most, and if you can swing doing something that he would never spend the money on himself, do it.

I know this sounds like an easy way out, but what is better for any angler, especially Bass Fisherman, then a Gift Card? I love having the option of spending "Free" money on all the lures that I normally would not buy because they are too expensive etc.

It is hard to buy gifts for a Father who loves fishing like yourself, and I would agree, time beats money and you could do both....Gift card to the local sporting goods store or say TW, then plan a trip to a certain lake so he can use the card for that trip. That is a win win for everybody. 

A road trip "even just an hour to do some type of fishing you rarely do like shark fishing as you mentioned" is always a winner because even if you do not catch fish, it is the excitement of being somewhere new. If you are in PA, maybe a trip to the Tri State Area for some Fall Striped Bass Fishing from the Surf?

That is the best choice you could have made!  Nothing like going fishing with your dad, that will make you both happier than anything you could have bought him!  Have fun and good luck!
