I've got to give my 130 another chance as I gave up on that one quickly. They aren't biting the 90 where they used to so like you I might have to go to the 130 to see if they like that better. They used to kill it at my usual pond but not anymore Quote

I'm in the same boat.... no pun intended. I've caught 24 bass on the 90 and 0 so far on the 130. I definitely haven't used the 130 enough to compare though. Haven't used my Double Plopper enough to really judge it yet either. 1 Quote
Torn Thumb Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I don't think I'll try the double plopper unless the price comes down. Even then I wouldn't want to buy it knowing its kinda flimsy from what I've read here. Quote

I'm in the other boat Travis.... my 90 hasn't made it outta the box, but I use the 130's exclusively. The bass just crush the 130 with a vengeance that I can't get myself to throw the 90. And I'm sure we can attest those violent strikes is what makes fishing it so much fun! 1 Quote
Torn Thumb Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I fished the 130 for about 45 minutes in slightly choppy water without a bite this morning. This has almost always been unproductive water for me anyhow so I was just killing time after work. Quote
RHuff Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Threw my Whopper Plopper 90 for the 6th different time today and finally caught a LMB. It was a little dink less than a pound and he hit right infront of the lure, almost like he missed it then hit it again and was money on the second hit. I've not really been impressed with it yet. I've done about every type of presentation possible and I've thrown it of a morning, midday, and at dark with both calm and choppy water. I've also tried it in shallow water around structure, over grass beds in 6-8 ft and also over open water toward the deep. My best topwater right now is a Boyd Duckett Walk the Dog Popper. Quote

I hate using trebles when fishing from a kayak, mostly for personal safety reasons. How did this go for you? I'm always looking for follow ups. This one seemed pretty intriguing. Quote
Travis Gasper Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Seems like people either slay with the Plopper or can't even buy a bite. I like the 90 so much I just ordered a 3rd one. Now I have the I Know It, Munky Butt, and Bluegill colors. Quote

I've only used it a bit, first fish knocked it straight out of the water and never had it in it's mouth. But the next fish took it down and it hooked up nicely and I landed it no problem. In a different thread I was advised the hook choice is likely not the best, someone pointed out some different ones that are specifically made to replace trebles. If I lose a few with the hooks I put on it I'll switch them out and try again. Quote
Torn Thumb Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Do you remember what kind those were? Quote
dwh4784 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I believe they are these ones, made by Owner. https://smile.amazon.com/Owner-4102-159-Single-Replacement-Hook/dp/B00T0S6QVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473746588&sr=8-1&keywords=owner+treble+replacement+hook Quote
MattC Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) I threw my 90 on Sunday at a pond that has always produced smaller fish but on Sunday just as I was about to give up throwing the plopper BAM! hooked up to the biggest fish I've pulled out of that pond ever which has given me hope that there is bigger fish in that pond. I'll toss some pics up later after work Edited September 14, 2016 by MattC 1 Quote

I probably catch more fish on the powder color than any other, the T1000 color works well in clear water and the bone is not bad either. I do much better on the 130 then I have on the 90. Quote
Torn Thumb Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I'm still hesitant to throw the 130 but I've mostly been fishing the same pond all summer. The pond has dropped quite a bit and I can't shake the idea that it's too big a bait for the shallow pond. I'm waiting for my favorite smallie spot to get active again and maybe they'll smash the 130. One can hope. Quote
Molay1292 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Cloudy day, light rain, ripple on the water, throw that 130 and hold on. Quote
MattC Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 seem to be having some issues resizing the picture in order to post it. any help would be appreciated just shoot me a pm Quote

I've mostly just used the I Know It color since that was the first one I got. Can never go wrong with a white/chartruese combo. I've only thrown Munky Butt one time out and Bluegill is still coming through the mail. Quote
Brett's_daddy Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I have yet to catch anything on my 130's. Granted I've only fished the Loon 130 couple of times but still, nothing...not even a bite. We were actually almost skunked last night with the 90's too but at least we had a couple of blow-up misses and my wife did catch one dink about the size of the lure itself...lol. I'm hoping the 130's will produce some day soon but right now it's been the 90's that are what the fish want. I would really like to get two more, Rainbow Trout and Blue Gill to round out my 90's.
