Bailey. K Bassin Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I just purchased a pair of costa black fins with 580 glass lens and have noticed they fog up a little on very hot days. I was wondering if anyone had any opinion on some anti-fog products that have worked good for you. I have read some good stuff on car crap and the fogtech products? Anyone use them before? Quote
Super User geo g Posted August 21, 2016 Super User Posted August 21, 2016 I have costas that fog up once in a while. I will slide them down my nose and they clear pretty quickly. You have to let some air circulate between your face and the glass. I have never used a defogger. 2 Quote

Super User Master Bait'r Posted August 22, 2016 Super User Posted August 22, 2016 Cat crap. No, really! Not actual poop... I use it on ski goggles and it's the best I've found. http://www.ems.com/cat-crap-anti-fog-lens-cleaner/20642300012.html?emssrcid=PPC%3AgooPLAs%3A149599585245custom3_1%26custom0accessories&adpos=1o3&creative=79843455285&device=m&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=CJTmmqPt084CFQgOaQodiUwPdw 1 Quote
Super User Darren. Posted August 22, 2016 Super User Posted August 22, 2016 Fogging up is a problem that I'm not sure even spit can properly solve. I've also got 580G Costas and have had to slide them off my face, or down my nose when they fog up. Pain, but it is inevitable that they'll fog. I'm not sure there is any one solution that will keep the clarity and d**n the fogginess to the netherworld. Quote
Ohio Archer Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 I used Nikon Fog Eliminator but it appears it is no longer available. I shoot a lot of archery and these wipes help a lot especially when walking thru the woods on hot, humid, no wind days. They last a while if you put them back into the protective wrapper. Quote
Bailey. K Bassin Posted August 24, 2016 Author Posted August 24, 2016 Thanks everyone. I ended up ordering cat crap, just because I don't really feel like putting shaving cream and spitting in my $250 glasses. 1 1 Quote

I know a few divers and lots of skiers that use it. Even with the freezing temps and sweating/heavy breathing in skiing it works wonders. Quote

Big Rick Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Bailey hasn't been on here in over a year. However, @Master Bait'r has been active in the last month. Since he was the poster the introduced the product maybe he'll chime in and give us a current update. I'm interested as well. Quote
Super User WRB Posted July 6, 2019 Super User Posted July 6, 2019 Spit works now availble as Quick Spit anti fog by Jaws. Tom Quote

I don’t know the OP, but Cat Crap does work darn well for ski goggles while snowmaking- the worst fogging conditions on the planet. 1 Quote
Mikeltee Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 There is no such thing as fog free glasses. When you sweat the humidity fogs them up. There is a solution for skiers and they have fans built in on both sides. Glasses that allow the most air flow will obviously fog less. Lots of suckers buy fogfree spray snakeoil and it doesn't do anything. The great reviews from people are indeed true. They believe their product works but they are just sitting around and not sweating. Quote
