Mikfree Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 so tomorrow im fishing a local pond that I've never been to. I know it produces big fish from friends pictures. I've heard water clarity lately is around 2 ft. pretty weedy pond with not a whole lot of down trees or lily pads from what ive been told. What other lures should I try? im new to bass fishing and still unsure about a lot. im thinking about trying out a jig and pig , spinner bait/chatterbait , and lipless cranks, sankos while im there. I just picked up some robo worms to try out also. Its been about 105-110 every day if that makes a difference to you guys. Quote
jonathanparkwil Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Dark colored jig, frog, and the chatter/spinner bait combo would be good for the timber. This would cover all of your bases depending on what the fish are doing. Best of luck. Quote
j bab Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Wait a couple months so it's not 100+ degrees Quote
jr231 Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 It depends on how it gets fished. If it hasn't been pressured too hard it's hard to beat the senko. Right ? I agree, and i have had 15+ fish nights on senkos. But I've also been to a pond I couldn't catch a fish off a senko, in 2 hours no matter how I rigged it. I'd find out what they usually catch em on. And then try something totally different. Most of the bass in the pond have been caught if its fished every week since spring. And they have a better memory then we give them credit for. Especially the big ones. Quote
