Super User MassYak85 Posted October 18, 2016 Super User Posted October 18, 2016 Poor Romo, but honestly Dak deserves the position. Romo would be almost guaranteed to get hurt again and derail their momentum if they threw him back in.
Bass Turd Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Romo has broken two bones in his last three plays. He needs to bow out gracefully as a millionaire who can still walk. The next hit could cripple him for life. He should transition to the quarterbacks coach. I'm sure his advice has helped Dak and I'm sure it's one of the reasons Dak has done so well. 2

dwh4784 Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Not quite sure what I'm quoted on in that last post. But for Bass Turd's point a do agree. Romo is probably feeding Dak everything he can to keep the team winning. It's just what good players do. When the time comes Romo will compete for his job back, just like he should. I'd be disappointed if they gave it back to him at this point, but if he thinks he's the #1 QB on the team he should be out there fighting for the starting job.

On my phone the quoting feature gets all messed up, I wasn't trying to quote you.
Super User Jrob78 Posted October 21, 2016 Super User Posted October 21, 2016 Romo is good dude. He's helping Dak all he can. He's also a fierce competitor who wants his job back. I'm in Dallas and it's daily conversation here, on sports talk radio and even with the general public. This week is our bye week and a lot of people are saying Dak will start next week against Philly and Romo will start the next week against the lowly Browns. I don't think the Cowboys even know at this point. Personally, I'm not sure his body will hold up for any period of time. The last 3 times he's been hit have resulted in 2 broken collarbones and 1 broken back. I wish he would retire, for health's sake. If he survives the rest of this season he will be a starting qb in the NFL somewhere next year, may or may not be in Dallas. 1
Super User Gundog Posted October 23, 2016 Super User Posted October 23, 2016 Watching the Baltimore/NY Jets game. The announcer put the hex on Flacco with that stat about most passing attempts w/o an interception. Then the interception and fumble by the ravens was wild.

It would have been nice if one of the QB showed up today. That was an ugly game. 1
Super User flyfisher Posted October 23, 2016 Super User Posted October 23, 2016 Nice to see the Eagles defense wake up a little bit. They out a hurting on Bradford for sure. The first quarter was ugly unless you like defense then it was great. Now on to Dallas next week.

They were the only positive from that game. Both offenses were awful. great job missing yet another PI on Julio 2 weeks in a row at the end of the game Refs.
Super User flyfisher Posted October 23, 2016 Super User Posted October 23, 2016 both offenses were awful because of playing against two great defenses. They weren't #1 & #2 in points allowed for nothing.
Super User gim Posted October 23, 2016 Super User Posted October 23, 2016 The Vikings offensive line is like swiss cheese. It just has holes everywhere. Clearly the Jake Long experiment was a train wreck. His poor blocking directly resulted in two red zone turnovers.
Super User Gundog Posted October 24, 2016 Super User Posted October 24, 2016 Landry Jones is not Ben Roethlisberger. Plus the penalties and missing a easy field goal didn't help.
FordsnFishin Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Somehow I just noticed this thread. Just finished reading all 11 pages. An without further adoo, guess what team is back in action and ready to bring their trophy to its homestead. .. 1

Maybe - Rex didn't help himself or his team out by Imitating (Mocking) William Stephen "Bill" Belichick after the Bills win. Which was a beat down, there's no way around that But TB12 is back - that may be a factor. A-Jay
Super User MassYak85 Posted October 27, 2016 Super User Posted October 27, 2016 Not sure how I feel about the Bills game. Patriots are definitely a better team and there is no excuse to leave Buffalo with a loss, but Rex can scheme up some good stuff against them from time to time. 1
Super User gim Posted October 27, 2016 Super User Posted October 27, 2016 Landry Jones actually didn't look that bad to be honest. Clearly he aint no Ben but he was at least serviceable, something most backup quarterbacks are not. 1
Super User A-Jay Posted October 28, 2016 Super User Posted October 28, 2016 Pats might be getting Dion Lewis Back - "Danger Will Robinson" . . . . A-Jay
