Super User N Florida Mike Posted February 7, 2017 Super User Posted February 7, 2017 I am not a fan of either team although Ive been a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan.If I am nuetral I usually root for the closer team to me,which would have been Atlanta.I just didnt want to jump on their bandwagon having not followed them at all during the season.I wouldnt say Im a patriots fan but you have to admit Brady is great. Not the best game but the most exciting 4th qtr. Ive seen. I didnt like the political insinuations of some of the commercials or I didnt get the humor or point behind some of the others lol.I did laugh when the eco lady got flipped by the whale and hit the boat.

Cowboys lose to Green Bay --> Green Bay Loses Falcons --> Falcons lose to Patriots ---> Therefore Cowboys would have beaten Patriots? With that logic I could make a case that the Browns should have won the superbowl. 2
MikeWright Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 @MassYak85 @roadwarrior I will always stick by my Boys...iif you cant respect that than you're just another bandwagon hitchhiker!!! Also losing the first round isn't as bad as it sounds...considering they went against a superbowl ready Green Bay team... I don't think they should've sat their starters out in the last game of the regular season...they should've played them to keep the team in sync...instead we gave Romo a job interview drive, which he did great in which will land Jerry a nice trade in the near future and gave Sanchez a career ending spotlight...we weren't thinking ahead...or were we? 2 rooks? Dominate the regular season? There will be years upon years to come of Cowboys domination to come...
dwh4784 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 It's cool to support your team, but to come up with silly scenarios and proclamations where they would have won the super bowl is a bit ridiculous. Cowboys had the #1 seed so theoretically the best chance to make it, they failed. Atlanta could have and probably should have won that game, but they also failed. I've got my Seahawks (that I just barely claim anymore due to their cheap/trash talk play) that beat New England on the road this year, so I guess I could claim that "we" should have won the super bowl. Except, they had their chance and failed as well. That said, the Cowboys do have a good shot to be great for years with Prescott and Elliott and the rest of that team. It would be nice if they win one before Witten retires though. 1

Coulda, woulda, shouda...End of story. Cudos to the Pats! They are not my team, but I sure admire Tom Brady, a proven leader. 2

Nothing wrong with supporting the home team and history will determine how accurate this prognostication will be. Every 'turn around' has to start somewhere. Hard for me to determine at this point if getting to the playoffs as the #1 seed and losing in the first round is a definite sign of years on impending domination. A-Jay

As a Dallas fan, I'm not very optimistic about next year. It's going to be a very, very difficult season next year unless they make some huge improvements on a poor defense that gets "hidden" by their ball control offense. they have to play: @OAK @DEN @ARI NYGx2 SEA KC GB @ATL that doesn't include philly/wash. That, by all accounts, could be a nightmare. With that schedule, any team could very easily go 8-8 or worse and not make the playoffs. IF they can pull a 13-3 year out of Dak, he will be a front runner for MVP vs that schedule.

I don't think they'll ever do anything until he's gone. I actually can't believe he's still there, Jerry jones has gone soft.
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 15, 2017 Super User Posted February 15, 2017 Best season in 25+ years and you want to fire the coach?

IndianaFinesse Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Not surprised the Texans traded Osweiler, but the fact that he went to the Browns does not bode well for him. Best thing that can happen to him is that the brown trade him off mid season to a good team, like what they did with the falcons and patriots last year. The browns threw away a lot of talent last year, with several of the guys they traded making huge plays in the Superbowl. My wish list for the Bronco's is a good right tackle and nose tackle, they really lacked that last year. Plus they need some rushers back (and someone the size of The Fridge would be handy to), either cj Anderson or someone like him for if/when he gets hurt again. I do hope the keep cj and get him healthy again. Hard to do well when the opponent knows your going to pass, cause your running game is nonexistent.
Super User Gundog Posted March 11, 2017 Super User Posted March 11, 2017 Big question is .....Who picks up Tony "The Walking Ace Bandage" Romo? Can't see the 'Boys taking a huge salary cap hit keeping him in town. BTW heard Osweiler might be trade-bait for some unsuspecting *cough jets* team that may want to trade away hi draft picks for him.
