The media will have him standing beside the golden boy. Speaking of how much I can't stand the media hype. Remember not so long ago that ESPN had Kaepernick winning the next 5 Superbowls. They couldn't shut up about the guy. I thought they were having sex. Now days he's lucky if he can stand for his country that gives him the freedom to act a fool. 1

What if Dak goes like 5-2 or 6-1...god help us the 2 weeks we have to listen to "Does Romo play" on every network. Jesus...God help Luck this year. The Colts might have the worst offensive line in football.

Elliot looked great and Morris has looked great all preseason. If DMF can get 1400 yds in 10 or 11 games last year, these two are going to be hard to stop. Kind of wish I hadn't said this now.
Kyle46N Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Broncos have the same defense coming back.......arguably could be better. They're ridiculously loaded. 1

They're not the same without manning. They still have an incredible defense, but with there qb position of having to choose between a kid fresh from a mediocre at best collage career and sanchez they are going to have zero offense. My prediction is the broncos will be carried by there defense to just barely sliding into the wild-card round and losing there first play off game. At best. 1
Super User flyfisher Posted August 29, 2016 Super User Posted August 29, 2016 Remember Sanchez took the Jets to the AFC championship game quite a few times with not as good of a defense that he has now and less offensive players around him.
Kyle46N Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Sanchez will most likely be cut in the next few days. Siemien will start the season, with Lynch probably starting sometime this season. Remember Manning went 8 games with 7 Tds and 18 int's to start last year out. This defense only needs an offense to put up about a couple TD's a game, and minimal offensive turnovers. That's Kubiak style all the way. The funny thing is, the "experts" are saying the exact same things about this team as they did all of last year....all the way to the SB and didn't stop until after we won the SB. Then it took all of about a month for them to start saying the exact same things throughout the offseason. Defense is great...but that offense will hurt them. Guess everyone needs to see it again! 1

Caliyak Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 We can count on the Vikings not making it to the SB. Cowboys get #6 1

Super User flyfisher Posted September 1, 2016 Super User Posted September 1, 2016 I swear cowboys fans say they are getting their 6th every year and then every year they make an excuse as to why they didn't.... Anyways, with AP still on the Vikings and the defense they have, they could make a run. Guess that is the beauty of the NFL, you never know what is going to happen and the favorite rarely wins it all. 1

Even Raider fans, out here in Cali, have SB buses already. LOL AP is big but stack the box and he's done. Vikings need to throw to keep the D honest. Super User Gundog Posted September 1, 2016 Super User Posted September 1, 2016 Kaepernick was a good QB because Jim Harbaugh made a great team around him. Almost any QB would be good with that team. Won't be surprised if they trade him to Dallas, Minn or even Cleveland. He's created a media circus around him and his team and coaches. Not something a team that went 5-11 last year needs.

The niners let that super bowl team get away from them and never replaced any of the parts..he did have a solid team around him, then he had complete garbage around him, tough to excel in that situation. I think he proved he has talent, he needs the right program to help him excel..Minnesota's offense is built for mobility, and he would fit nicely there. We do but so does every fan about their team. Ok...a little info for your over reaction theater...AP had his best rushing season (2000+ yds) against a stacked box and playing for the leagues worst pass defense, He averages something like 4.6 YPC against a stacked 8. hill will most likely be under center in the spread i formation where AP excels. Teddy in the shotgun was actually AP's least favorite and less productive set up and he was still a beast. He's been in the league for almost 10 years and it isn't exactly shocking to any half brained coach that he will undoubtedly be touching the ball 20+ times a game. This will be one of the best defenses he has ever played for as well. AP and the vikings as a whole will be fine...Will they win the north? If GB stays healthy, no..but they have a legit shot at a WC. 8 hours ago, Caliyak said: Kaep will not take them to the promise land. Seeing him every week for the past 4 years, he has been exposed. I recommend the Vikings go get a young pocket QB. The "exposed" argument is the most generic excuse in the NFL. There's enough game tape available that being "exposed" is a non issue. Nobody is doing anything ridiculously unique. It's what's between their ears and how the execute. If a player being exposed is detrimental to their overall productivity, then players like Wilson would be in the same situation Kaep is on. However..he isn't. Jim Harbaugh is a great coach and Kaep in reality isn't a very good NFL QB..especially since he apparently can't succeed on a chip kelly offense that is pretty much tailored to a player with his "skill set:".

Super User Gundog Posted September 2, 2016 Super User Posted September 2, 2016 Part of the problem with many teams is when they get to the playoffs and lose in the first round they think they only need to make a few tweeks to get to the super bowl. Some times what they really need is a big shake up to get them over the hump that is a playoff drought. I think Jerry Jones and alot of other owners/managers/coaches fall for this trap. Cincinnati is in the same place as Dallas. Can't seem to seal the deal. Arizona as well to a less degree. Rebuilding isn't just for 4-12 teams. I think replacing Tony Romo will help them in the long term.
S. Sass Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I actually thought at one point in his career he could have took us to the SB. However we did not have a team and you cant win with 3 players. There is no doubt Romo needs to make it through a season as bad as it hurts as a fan Dak needs Romo teaching him. Dak is not that good. Preseason is bs entertainment and a exhibition for some players to try and sell themselves. Watch what happens with 1st string def scheming for him. Most likely be a different story. Ill tell you who most of the blame needs to go on for Romos failures and it isn't Romo. Look at how pitiful the front office has performed during his time here. Our drafts generally sucked until recently. Our money was spent on some bad financial decisions as well. Up until recently no one even considered our "team" as average. Romo ran for his life for years and that was unacceptable. And who in their right mind uses their starting QB as a place holder in recent history, say like the past 3 decades? Romo was a big student of the game, from all accounts worked harder than 90% of the NFL on his game. And from all expert accounts was a top tier QB. All that being said Romo needs to retire. 1
MikeWright Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Retire with no ring? If he's as good as people portray him to be and Dallas isn't the team for him then let him go...and if I were him and went that long without success I would take it into my own hands to find it...IMO he doesn't have what it takes....at all

Out of the 32 teams I would be willing to bet he would start on more than 1/2 of them if he wasn't hurt. I just don't see all these great QBs out there that make him look so horribly bad. Take his injury issues away and he is by far not in the lower rankings of NFL QBs. Besides the ones in blue who is head and shoulders better than Romo? At best a couple may be about equal but seriously only a few of these would be a clear upgrade. 1. Cam Newton 2. Carson Palmer 3. Tom Brady 4. Russell Wilson 5. Ben Roethlisberger 6. Andy Dalton 7. Drew Brees 8. Philip Rivers 9. Aaron Rodgers 10. Derek Carr 11. Kirk Cousins 12. Eli Manning 13. Blake Bortles 14. Ryan Fitzpatrick 15. Matt Ryan 16. Tyrod Taylor 17. Jay Cutler 18. Joe Flacco 19. Matthew Stafford 20. Jameis Winston 21. Alex Smith 22. Marcus Mariota 23. Sam Bradford 24. Teddy Bridgewater 25. Brian Hoyer 26. Ryan Tannehill 27. AJ McCarron 28. Brock Osweiler 29. Blaine Gabbert 30. Matt Hasselbeck 31. Johnny Manziel 32. Colin Kaepernick 33. Nick Foles 34. Matt Cassel As far as taking it into his own hands what was he suppose to do? He is the starting QB for the Dallas freaking Cowboys (similar to being a MLB Yankee or a NBA Laker) and was being paid top tier $. Had more say than most QBs in the league about what goes on within his role here. Its not like he can be the scouts and do the drafting for the team. Although rumor had it he actually did have some input there as well. Its a team sport and not every NFL team gets trophies like the stupidity going on at the beginning level of sports. Even if your a above average QB it still takes a team and a little luck to get you there.
