Most consecutive landed fish.

Last Sunday went to a pool and it was crazy over filled with LMB. It was a over cast morning nice mid to upper 70s temp and we were instructed to catch and keep at will. The owner knew it was over full.

So anyway me and my fishing partner proceeded to start casting and catching fish. At one point I pulled my crank bait rod out had a little Mann's 1minus in crystaglow bass tied on. It was ridiculous for the next 20+ minutes every cast was a catch. Sometimes the bait would hit the water and sometimes I swear it was like they were watching and would jump to catch it. 

Guess I've never seen starving fish like this before. But most were in poor condition. Some real bad some not to bad. Jeff my partner he was amazed and started calling the strikes. It was pretty simple they loved that lure.  I quit throwing it because I didn't have another to share and it was to the point of embarrassing. 

Just going out on a conservative guess I'd say I consecutively caught 15 fish on 15 casts about as fast as it hit the water. How about you guys? Ever get on a run catching every cast non stop?

I don't believe I ever caught that many on consecutive casts, but I have found a few schools of fish where I've caught ten fish in 15-20 casts. Glad you could help the owner out and have fun in the process. Did you relocate the fish you caught?

I went 5 for 5 using BPS mini stick-O texas rigged weightless last spring, but they were mostly dinks, maybe one was 1+

Theres a small lake I fish and once  found I routinely catch 50 to 100 bass . Most will be between 12 to 15 inches .  I never counted consecutive fish caught but I bet I have had hits on fifty consecutive cast . Many time I have left them biting , to search for bigger fish .

Yes, I have a couple spots deep in the Everglades where the bass go full beserker mode and hit on every single well presented cast you give them.This happens mostly during low water periods,which is probably the best time to fish the glades.I have had many days where I have caught +100 bass and another +100 fish (mostly bowfin,gar,peacock bass,oscar).The bass tend to hit in big groups,and when the action is at 100% intensity  I have caught 4-8 bass a minute!!!!! I highly recommend  all bass fishermen to visit the glades when there is very low water levels so they can have a experience they will never forget!

Several years ago my son and I hit the jackpot.

Fished the early AM and got quite a few then tried an offshore ledge about 3/4 of a mile from shore about 11:00 am. Drops from 12 feet to 18 feet which is pretty deep for around here.

My son caught 17 in 17 casts while I caught 25 on 25 casts, missed one then caught another 15 on the next 15 casts. That was 40 in 41 casts. Hasn't happened since and probably never will but I'll never forget it.

None of the fish were very big, I think 3 of them were about 5 each with the rest between 2.5 and 3. This is central Florida so "big" is a relative term and a 5 lbr is not considered very big here. It was fun though.

This past weekend, on the Snake River in WA, I was 6 for 6 and then got hung. Broke my line. Re-tied and proceeded to go 4-4 before I didnt catch one. I count it as 10-10  LOL

BTW the Vibragrub on a drop shot is DEADLY for smallies! I recommend everyone try them out!

I've had days with white bass that you get a fish every cast for hours on end at times.

Most I've had in a row was somewhere around 7 or 8.  This last spring we found a creek on Shasta lake and the bass were just sitting and waiting for food to come by.  A five inch grub was exactly what they were wanting.  Congrats on the fun day.

I dream about days like that but honesty the best I've done is 3 for 3. But it did tick off the guy I was fishing with cause I caught a ton of bass that day and my partner (the trash talker) got 1 a minute after we launched and nothing else.

the only time i remember it like that was 8 on 8 casts on my fly rod.  Biggest went 19" and all were sitting off a current seam in the cooler water since it was hot as a mofo out.

Not often (read as "very rarely") but once a friend and I anchored at a "strategic" spot  (where two flooded ditches intersected) and we caught close to 100 bass (we lost count) in almost the same number of casts.  Often, if a fish threw the bait (crankbait), if it was still some distance from the boat, another bass would grab it.  I've never been physically tired from catching fish (before or since).

One of the lakes I fish is a smaller, rather featureless lake. Doesn't have ledges, ditches, etc and has only one mini point. In this lake, the bass seem to school up and roam deeper water. If I can run into a school, it's not uncommon for me to catch 20 fish in 30 mins. The best I have done on consecutive casts is probably 12-15.

Great question.  For largemouth, I'm not sure but it is probably a lower number like 4 or 5 because I will often cast to the right or left of the main target after a few fish in a row.  I like to know how big an area the school covers and see if there are any larger fish hanging on the  perimeter.  Often those casts come up empty and break the streak, but I was in the boat when my buddy caught an 8 lb largemouth doing just that.  We were picking off some 12" - 14" fish in front of a dock on consecutive casts, when he suddenly shoots a cast 30 feet to the left towards a different dock and gets hit before the Roboworm touched bottom.  I wonder if the big fish was looking at the school of smaller bass as a potential meal and couldn't help herself as the lure dropped in front of her.

For smallmouth, it was probably near a dozen this past September on Lake Powell.  Found a school off a point & was making long casts with a Redeye shad.  Twice in that span I hooked fish who threw the lure while jumping only to have a second fish hook up as I then continued the retrieve.

I've gone 8 in a row twice.  

First time was on a bigger lake where I must have got into a school of dinks that went crazy for the wacky rigged senko.  Got 8 in a row and about 17 in 20 casts total. Don't think any were over 12"

Second time was a farm pond. Skunked all morning, sat in my truck to eat lunch and regroup. Came out and the wind shifted blowing onto dam.  Walked over there and got 8 on the first 8 casts. All were around 3 lbs. if I hadn't seen them swim off in the other direction they could have been the same fish as they were all the same size. Eighth fish frayed my line. After I retied, didn't have another bite.

I went 6 for 6 on spots throwing a spinnerbait in March. That's the most I can remember for bass. 

I've had some crazy panfish streaks, but that's not that uncommon.

I don`t know  my record ,but one time stands out. WT 41 deg,raining lightly,1/8 bare back black hair jig produced 21 for 22 lmb from one spot about the size of an average living room.All about 1 to 2 lbs

Never got another one there since after 5 years.

For bass, I've probably had a few like 3 in 5 casts. 

 

For crappie/perch, I've had days where I've probably caught 5-6 in a row, easily.
