Dane Morris Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Hey guys, I am very interested in buying a rod glove as I have heard better reviews about it over the stick jacket. Since many people say that they do not go all the way that they are rated to, what size should I get for a 7'3'' micro guide casting and an 8'2'' micro guide casting rod? Thanks so much, Dane Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted August 10, 2016 Super User Posted August 10, 2016 Just get the standard for the 7'3". You don't want them right down to the front of the reel especially if you leave your baits tied on. Go with the micro guide XL for the long rod. Their website shows what each is recommended for. Super User rippin-lips Posted August 10, 2016 Super User Posted August 10, 2016 I've noticed no difference between those two, and other brands. It's just 1" expandable braided sleeving that's used to make the covers. I prefer the outkast slix rod cover because they have an elastic band you can put around your reel to keep the cover from coming off. It also has a tag so you can write something on it like...
