It's hard to tell what to start looking for, as I'm kind of stuck between attributes.

The Perfect Pitch sounds like a great heavy cover rod but I'm not sure it'll load a 1/2oz frog for bomb cast as

The EMTF has the length I'd like but might be a touch light on the power end of frog fishing.

The Tour Versatile claims frog status but the J&W has a little faster taper which I generally really like.

If if someone with experience in these rods could help me make heads or tails out of the details and differences I'd appreciate it!  Mostly I'd be using it for frogs, but sometimes with a leader for swimbaits or big spinnerbaits.  After using my Flat Side Special, I'm sold on selling my current frog rod and going XX.  They're just so light and comfortable, I really like them!

Of those 3, I only own the EMTF...It's an awesome rod, but I wouldn't use it for frogs.  It also seems to be a touch slower than it's Fast rating, might be the extra length that makes it feel that way.  It can definitely sling baits a loooong way, but it'd be under-gunned for any of the frog fishing I do.

I've often heard the PP touted as an excellent frog rod.  I'm sure the TV would do the job as well, but may be a little light for the heavier stuff.  The Jig & Worm rod might be a good choice as well.

The PP gets a ton of praise all around, with frogging mentioned frequently.  I think it'd probably be my choice in the XX lineup even though I really prefer 7' rods for frogging....J&W would be close in my mind but the PP is so popular for a reason, hard to ignore that.

NICE.  More power is better, given it can still load a 1/2oz frog so that is great news!  Thanks for the input guys, definitely going to be making some combo moves eventually and it sounds like the PP is where it's at.

Easily XX PP from that series. Amart X7 if you want something more pricey.

I prefer the Black Jungle Power Versatile over the X7 AM if I want to "bomb" a frog. I like the AM for close quarters frogging like getting under brush and overhanging trees.

The PP is the rod you want. It's hard to explain the rod until you own it, but it's got a great tip. Next choice would be the TV if you wanted a shorter rod. I sold my TV because it's too close to the PP and the PP loads better because of its tip. Don't ever waste your money on the j&w rod. Nobody cares for it at all. The EMTF is rated as medium power so it's a no go.

This chart should help a bit.
