Hey guys I just bought an Aegis 2506 2013 models. I finally  figured out its  line ratings through research and they go as follows

Mono   Diam                 M(yds)

5lb         0.18 mm            140m (150 Yds)

6lb         .20mm               100m(110Yds)

Fluoro

4lb        .17mm               140m(150 yards)

5lb        .19mm                100m(110 Yards

PE              1                    100m

Thats whats written on the box.Now I know it seems that it be straight forward but Ive heard that japanese fishing line are different from american lines because they are measured different. So how can I buy flouro to match to the reel. Is the 6lb fluoro that seagaur sells in the US the same diameter as the fluoro it sells in Japan. What ever help or suggestions I get will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply Ill do that. I had just read  that when it came to the way the japanese measure there line is different.  for example 16 line is rated at .330mm and in the us 12lb is that diameter but your right I will go by diameter.

Just fill the spool as usual and don't bother with the line counting. Worked so far for 40 years here.

Go by diameter and stick with the top size or smaller and you will be fine. It's a jdm shallow spooled reel so it doesn't hold much line but has better line management than a usdm 1000 or 1500 designed for light line. I use 8 and 10lb trilene xl on 2500 reels all the time and it works fine. With that reel I'd stick with 8lb or smaller if mono or fluorocarbon and 10-20 lb braid
