AndrewJ Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I'm just wondering if anyone has attempted to use a soft plastic frog, like the Z man hard leg frog, on a C-rig. And if so, did you have any luck. Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted July 31, 2016 Super User Posted July 31, 2016 I haven't personally, but I do know for sure that there are no rules in what you can put on a carolina rig, or any rig for that matter. Give it a try! 1 Quote
AndrewJ Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 Im thinking of putting some on the line, i feel like the vibration of the frog would work well under water. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 31, 2016 Global Moderator Posted July 31, 2016 Flipping a Horny Toad with a pegged weight used to be a big thing (probably still is in some areas). It's not really a lot different than the action of a say a Rage Craw or Speed Craw, just a much bulkier body. Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted July 31, 2016 Super User Posted July 31, 2016 Considering I've put a jointed crank on a c-rig, you're good to go. I'd probably lean noisy flapper tho 1 Quote
bigbassin' Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I've seen a toad on a split shot be the top producing bait of a given day before so I see no reason why it wouldn't work. Quote
