Hogsticker Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 RX7 medium heavy crankbait blank. I had one, sold it, and missed it. My favorite cranking blank - Perfect for the application imo so I had another one built! Fuji Ecs reel seat, full cork, Fuji alconites spiral wrapped. Pro wrap purple metallic color thread. 3 Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted July 30, 2016 Super User Posted July 30, 2016 Man, that is sweet! Simple with nice details and top quality components. Love the full cork handle and EVA butt. 1 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted July 30, 2016 Super User Posted July 30, 2016 Looks good Hog but it looks like that one is a bit of coach potato! If it was built by who I think it was it should be a real winner Quote

Took advantage of the Nfc sale. I'm super curious and excited to see how these blanks perform. Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted July 30, 2016 Super User Posted July 30, 2016 Yea, that was a good snag on the NFC blank. I thought about it as well but decided to pass as I am going to re-evaluate my arsenal after the fall to see what I want to do and where any voids are. What reel are you going to use for the new cranking stick? SV103? Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 How do you like that seat hood? Better than trimmed threads ? Quote

It looks neat and gives the rod a little character, but let's just say I wouldn't use it on a feel/contact build. 1 hour ago, kickerfish1 said: Yea, that was a good snag on the NFC blank. Interested in why you said that. I had a guy I trust tell me the exact opposite. Not busting your chops, amigo, just interested. Quote

Much rather have access to the blank with the reel seat threads trimmed down. 1 Quote
