I primarily fish Shimano's, and never had a 300 size reel. But I am looking for a reel with a large spool capacity. Would prefer a 200 size reel. I guess what I'm asking is what reels do you guys suggest for cranking and or what are the largest spool capacities out there in a standard 200 size reel. Im looking at Lews BB2 Pro Wide Speed Spool.

Something like a Citica 200D in the 5:0.1 flavor would suffice. They are pretty easy to find for well under $70 used.

I've heard the Revo Winch is great for cranking. Take it with a grain of salt cause I haven't used one so....

I really like my revo winch.....it's the first one not the gen3.  Very smooth and powerful, with plenty of line capacity.  With the right rod deep cranks like the 10xd are no effort the cast and retrieve.

I've been loving the Shimano Calcutta D Series Casting Reels -

It's often over looked but it my mind it is the next generation in round reels. Featuring a whole new design, the new Calcutta D Series Reels combine the classic performance of the originals with some key new features and enhancements all their own. Delivering serious cranking power, they also provide the rigidity and durability to stand up to season after season of use. Shimano’s new X-Drag also provides the ultimate in fish fighting force, and each reel now comes equipped with Shimano’s X-Ship technology for better free-spooling, as well as, Shimano’s ‘S Compact Body’ for better ergonomic comfort in your hands. The new Shimano Calcutta D Series Casting Reels are leading the new Round Era for anglers looking for quality, function, design and longevity.

They don't give them away but you'll never need to replace it either.

All of my crankbaits are fished on Revo Winches.   I tend to stick to the 2nd Gen reels but do own a 3rd gen winch and it has not let me down.

If you're OK with round reels, get a 5500c3 and be done with it. Stay away from the Ambassadeur S crap from the budget stores, though. Those things will die quickly.

If you're not stuck on Shimano, the Daiwa zillion TWS 100P can be had for under $200. 5.1:1 gearing and will spool 120-130yrds of 10-12lb. test depending on the line's diameter.

I use a Shimano 200B5, green Curado reel from circa early 2000's.  Alternatively, you can get 5:1 ratio gear set for any 200 model Curado.  They cast well, hold a good amount of line, and this gear set actually has a smoother retrieve than the standard 6.2:1 gears of the 200 standard Curado of that period.
