Curado 200E7 vs Daiwa Tatula Type R

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a new reel for my frogging/flipping rod. It's a Dobyns 735C. I currently have a Curado 200E7 on the rod, but my main concern with the reel is that there is some give in the anti-reverse, quite like saltwater Avet reels. I'm considering going with a Daiwa Tatula Type R, but not sure which size would be best. Would the Tatula Type R be better, or the Tatula CT Type R fit the rod and application better?

I use regular tatulas. They work great! Good drag and plenty of line capacity. I upgrade the bushings at the ends of the worm gear to bearings and added bearings to the handles. Only reason to get a type R is if you wanted the super fast gears.

The Curado E would work very well for frogging. It's just about the ideal reel, in my opinion.

That millimeter of play in the anti-reverse won't cost you any fish. That's just how Shimano baitcasters are built.
