Mark Zona details the new G-Loomis GLX rods in his signature hilarious style - and reveals he's on these forums!

Nice video, Glenn.  Mark mentions an "892" GLX rod but there isn't an 892 Baitcasting or Spinning rod listed on the G Loomis Site (there is an 892 Flipping Rod, but I doubt this is what he is referring to).

Hey Mark, if you are lurking, would you be able to provide clarification?

Nice. My take on fishing shows is I have better things to do than watch somebody else try to catch fish. But I do watch this guy.

I have never had the opportunity to meet Mark, but had always wanted to in order to tell him something I thought he would get a kick out of.  It isn't about fishing, but rather about his twin boys, who were the "guests" on one of his shows.  If he is indeed lurking & reading posts, then I figure this might be the best chance to reach him.

I also am the father of twin boys, albeit my sons are about a decade older than his.  When I watched the episode where they were out drop shotting, I felt like I had been transported back in time to when my sons were in their mid teens.  First, all 4 are all thin as rails, with shoulders that look like a coat-hanger is still in their shirt.  Second, the shyness of each is uncanny.  There are no wasted words when my sons or the Zona boys are around, chatting is something they leave to their fathers.  Third, their speech patterns are exactly the same, quick with a little bit of some unknown accent.  Lastly, the interaction between them when ever any kind of competition is present was predictable.  Not much trash talking, just a quick verbal jab or wry smirk whenever one got a leg up on the other.  Now I have never been to Michigan and my wife swears she has never met this non-stop talking Italian smallmouth slayer, so it appears what we have here are quadruplet brothers from different mothers :D

Mark, it looks like you have got two great boys there, I bet you will really enjoy watching them become men.  It appears they have kept their bond as twins as they have grown, something that will get stronger as they continue through life.

It's a new rod introduced at ICAST.  It's not available just quite yet.  Should be out before the year is over.

Ran into Zona at the Elite event on the Delaware River, just as funny in person as on TV...Only got a quick picture with him and a few of the guys in my club when we were there for the weigh in, but it was cool he took time out to chat with everyone that came up to him.

I'm looking forward to his show on the Upper Bay with Ike airing...Will be cool to see them on my some of my home waters.  Now come do one on the Potomac! ;).

I ran into Mark and Aaron Martens at Chaumont bay a few years back.  It was mid-late October and we were the only ones at the ramp.  Super cool dudes.  I have to admit I was a little star struck...like a 14 year girl meeting the Biebs.  I'm a little ashamed of that haha!
