jtharris3 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Headed to bass pro tomorrow, mainly just to look around and do something to stay out of that heat. 95 plus degrees expected here in wonderful Michigan. I've got $30 just to blow on whatever. I figure since I'll be there, I might as well buy something. Ok Bass Resource peeps, what should I buy? Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 23, 2016 Global Moderator Posted July 23, 2016 I was a BPS Wednesday with the family. $30 was just barely enough for 3 packs of senkos at $8.79 a pack! I'd be looking for any of the cool, new stuff from Icast they might have in stock. 1 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted July 23, 2016 Super User Posted July 23, 2016 look in the clearance bins too see if anything interest you there . 2 Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted July 23, 2016 Super User Posted July 23, 2016 Go on Amazon.com, you'll get them for a whole lot less coins. Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted July 23, 2016 Super User Posted July 23, 2016 I would be looking for BPS house brand stuff or exclusives, which will make $30 go a little longer way. To me, heat = worms fished slowly. BPS 7" ribbontail worms come 16 in a pack for 3.50. I would also get BPS stick-os rather than senkos if I was looking for a stick worm. BPS also carries cylindrical finesse weights for mojo rigs that can be otherwise kind of hard to find. I'm probably not going to fish a crankbait at all for at least another month, but if I was heading to BPS, I might grab one or two of their exclusive rattling KVD 1.5 squarebills while I was there. 2 Quote

Their house brand plastics are pretty decent for the price. I would definitely check out their 7" and 10" ribbon tail worms this time of year. Quote
lo n slo Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 pack of bullet weights, 2 packs of hooks, and as many bags of worms that you can with what you have left. dont forget the tax. git r done. Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted July 23, 2016 Super User Posted July 23, 2016 A gift card for yourself and save it for a few months and buy another one. I would continues to do this and buy something(s) you really want at their Thanksgiving or Christmas sales. 3 Quote
Jaderose Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 $30? Terminal tackle...nothing but. Not sexy but I burn through it a lot faster than I think I do. 1 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted July 24, 2016 Super User Posted July 24, 2016 4 Booyah Pad Crashers. Or 2 bags of jerky. There was a time I would have said about 12 Uncle Buck's spinnerbaits. They were an awesome value and I still have some. 1 Quote
jtharris3 Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 I know you all are on the edge of your seat as to what I ended up with! Nothing earth shattering but, what I got fills in some holes in what I have used recently. I had a nice relaxing dinner at Outback with the wife and spent a couple of hours at BPS. 4 Quote
