I'm a big st croix fan but meh on these. At $100 and the new mojos strarting at $140. I think on would be better served to spend the extra $$$ or wait till a retailer has a sale and buy a mojo then.

How often  do you see St. Croix rods on sale?  I've seen discontinued models marked down sometimes, not always, but don't often find St Croix's on sale anywhere.

tackle Warehouse has some special sales like the 4th of July or Christmas sales  and other times where almost everything is 10 percent or more off. Susquehanna Fishing Tackle is another one that has some spring sales like that and yes those rods are included.  Keep an eye on Gander Mountain outdoors they have some amazing sales periodically. Earlier this year hey had some terrific Diawa sales.

They have them on sale on their website anytime they remake a model. The Rage rods were on sale for $89 with free shipping for a long time. A buddy of mine called them and got 2 of them for $50 each with free shipping. I just bought a brand new Avid X at Sheel's for $120, most of their St. Croix rods were on sale. I had a hard time not picking up another LTB for $180. When they redid the LTB's  last, I bought 2 of them for $250 shipped.
