OEF_fisherman Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Good evening I recently have returned from a deployment to Afghanistan and am now back state side and fishing is how I get outdoors unfortunately I'm new to palm beach county and so far have had no luck with here any advice, tips or fishing spots (fresh water) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Quote
David Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Usually any (fresh) body of water of any size in the county will typically have bass -- most bodies are connected with canals or underground pipes so it is hard to find a place where they haven't established themselves. I usually just fish the decorative ponds in my apartment complex from the bank, and have pulled in 3 lb largemouths more than once. Send me a PM if you like and we can meet up here and fish the ponds. 1 Quote
Terzy Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Around what are in Palm beach are you? Palm Beach county covers Boca to Jupiter and Belle Glade... Quote
Super User South FLA Posted July 30, 2016 Super User Posted July 30, 2016 If you have a small boat Lake Catherine and connecting canals are all pretty good towards the N. end of Palm Beach County, middle you have Lake Clarke Shores, Palm Beach Canal, South County Lake Ida, out West you have Loxahatchee national wildlife refuge. My favorite for top secret spot that is not so secret and you can rent canoes and float down the river fishing for some Hawgs is River Bend Park. Lastly, any of the many canals, retention ponds and golf courses have tons of bass in them, I dare to say better fishing in small waters than places like Lake Okeechobee and Everglades National Park.
