Bassboy18 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Hey guys I was wondering what yalls favorite baits are. Preferably covering most techniques like soft plastics, jig, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, etc.. I gotta stock up for this years tournaments and wanted to know what y'all think works best. I obviously can't try every craw or crank to determine its actions. Thanks Quote
Outdoor Zack Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Favorite technique is probably swimming a brush hog/lizard or crankbait along the bank T-rigged worms like YUM dingers and ribbontails when the bite is tough Quote

Favorite soft plastic would be a yamamoto senko, no real jig preference, crankbait is strike king... Honestly though, this question is much too vague and you're going to get a huge variety of answers. You should do more simple online research Quote

S. Sass Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Mann's Baby 1-Minus in Baby Bass Crystaglow. Mann' s Jelly worms in grape or blackgrape. Rapala DT10 in Old School color. I will say colors change dependent on what I think the bass want. Quote
hawgenvy Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Summer in south Florida is horribly hot and humid. The water is 90+ and low in oxygen. The fish are stressed, and finesse methods work best for me. My most effective lure this month has been the Strike King 3X ElazTech Zero senko-type bait in PB&J color, rigged wacky (without a ring) on a Gamakatsu G-Finesse Series 1/16 oz Wacky Jig Head. I use a medium/fast rod with #10 FC, and work it slow. Quote
trick worms Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 All zoom soft plastics. Yamamotos are the best senkos, but to expensive so I'll use big bite baits or yum. Strike king jigs, squarebills, and the cheap spinnerbaits they make just for the store dicks. H20 baits to. Quote
GORDO Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 These are the baits i have tied on the deck of my boat right now: 2.5 KVD square bill in sexy shad color. 3XD same color Weightless T-Rigged Senko, black and blue/green and red flake. I will switch to a 1/4oz bullet weight with a Zoom Brush Hog/ Lizard. I do like the structure bugs and space monkeys for this rod as well. Dirty Jigs 1/2oz Football head, dirty 420 color with rage tail structure bug, cali craw color trailer. Drop shot 4" Robo worm, not sure the color, on 3/8oz drop shot weight. These are hands down my favorites for the lakes and rivers i fish around here. Quote
You_Only_Live_Once_Fishing Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 i like the 5 foot jerk bait by rapala, the hooks are weak so get 80/0 gamakatsus... Quote
