The pic is of my Road Runner trailer. I blew a tire out last trip and am looking to replace the 175/80/13 tires.

My boat is like 990# empty so the load range C seems to cover the weight. But my question is can you tell a difference on the Load range D?

Also is there a brand I need to avoid using or a recommendation to use? I'm buying all new that is 2 on the ground and the spare.

I haul trailers every day I work hauling a backhoe and the 14ply are a must but these little bit tires I'm not to sure on.

What about the load range should I go ahead and get the D?

c or d will work. but make sure you get them balanced. makes a big difference. d will last a little longer.

Google search.  Most will always recommend ST tires and NEVER car radials.

I recommend Goodyear Marathon radial ST.  I blew 3 Carlisles in a year on my RV and finally Carlisle settled my claim.  Used that claim money to buy all new Goodyear Marathons and have never had another issue in 10 years.  Run them on my RV and Utility trailer and will be switching the Ranger to them next year.

The Marathons were good, and will work for most folks just fine.

I just replaced my Goodyear Marathons with Kumho 857 tires.

I took my time, did my research, talked to a lot of people and made the call to go with them.
Thy had a higher load rating, and a higher speed rating...which meant I can tow at the speeds we all know we run at without worrying.

...but I just looked and they are not available in a 13" size.  Sorry about that...
