This thread goes to show that we all have different opinions, experiences, and loyalties. Try a rod that seems cool to you; they're all pretty good in the $100 range.

Really? Your Veritas's broke? my particular one seems pretty sturdy... how did it break?

I broke their MH throwing a 1/2 oz spinner bait, the first 4 inches broke when setting hook on my M and the other M that I had i guess could have been my fault but I was hung trying to get it out and literally snapped in half. I felt like the pressure I was applying was nothing compared to a 6lb smallie I caught on that rod. Ive been using st. croix for 2 years now and I have never had a rod break, crack or anything like that.
