smallmouth pattern swimbaits

thought of picking up matts tournament series swimbaits was looking at the smallmouth pattern looks killer. I know baby bass is a popular color but never seen or heard of anyone one talking about smallmouths being cannibals. Do you think this would be a good color.

They are good.  i know I still have a few "musky"  baits that are smallmouth pattern. 

any pattern works though in all honesty and I would  not overthink it.
