Bass weight?

The fish calculator from Bass Resource states up to 11 lbs for those measurements....so i would guess eight at minimum.

Yeah two reading of eight Id say it's eight but the guy kept saying there's no lofocal reason it could be a eight pounder

Congratulations on catching a big bass! A bass with a 20 inch girth at 24 inches long should weigh a minimum of 8 pounds.

It's a good size. Your pic is impossible to judge. You held it out so far it's as long as you. Lol

Yeah it was crazy she exploded on my buzz bait three feet away from me and I did

I came down to Cali but I was fishing this small lake called Loch Lomond in Santa cruz it was closed for a while but now that it's open I've benm killing there and got four pbs there this year are you from the west coast?

Yep nor cal. Lake Oroville, bullards bar (unofficial world record spotted bass), the Sacramento delta and clear lake are all areas I fish.

I had one a few years ago that was 24.5"X14" that went 7.51. If anything, I'd think your scale is weighing on the light side.

Wish I could see a different angle that shows the girth. The 10.5 I caught in Fl this spring had a 20'' girth.

Idk if this helps but the widest parts on the bottom was 6 1/2 inches and 7 inches tall

fish calculators are ridiculous. Just don't even bother. Buy a scale and save the trouble. I had a 10.10 that was 27.5 inches lenght and 19 inch girth. Calculator puts it over 14 pounds. That is a HUUUUUUUUUGE difference. It is hard to believe that fish has a 20 inch girth...

24" is an old fish regardless of what she's been eating before you caught her or what stage of the spawn she was in. And they don't get old by being dumb. Congrats!
