Brett's_daddy Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 How difficult are these to install yourself on the side console if you are not very mechanically inclined...doable or should we have it done at the dealer? Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 6, 2016 Global Moderator Posted July 6, 2016 Most depthfinders are pretty simple to install. I'm not very mechanical myself and have done several on a several different boats and never had an issue. Quote
eddallen Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Pretty easy work.....red & yellow wires to fused positive...black wire to negative. Transducer mounted to transom so it runs in clean water at speed. You can do this, just follow directions in manual and go slow.. Quote
Eagleclaw2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Easy! But if you are not good at that kind stuff take to service installer. 3m 4200 to seal transom unless you have stainless Lowrance bracket all ready mounted.from one of there previous installed units. For power you need to connect red wire and black wire nothing more. 1/4 female connectors from hardware store put those on to fit fuse block if you have one. Razor blade to open up wires taking care not to damage or expose under insulation of wires. It's pretty darn easy and why I have stayed with Lowrance Quote
