Type pretty much any bass fishing question into google and one of the threads or articles from this site is the first result like 90% of the time.

When I started back fishing last year, I Googled fishing forums looking for new equipment, techniques, it led me here.

Doing searches of different techniques I kept seeing articles that referenced this site so I decided to check it out further and saw all the forums. I browsed around them for a little while before I finally became a member and now I am hooked

Sorry Glenn, I can't remember what I did yesterday so you know I have no idea of how I found the Forum.

Probably by stumbling onto it on the Internet one day.

A couple years ago I started to search information about bass fishing online and found this forum.I read it for years before joining last year and so far this is the best bass fishing forum I have seen by a long shot.

When I started bass fishing 4 years ago it seemed like every time I Google something about bass fishing it took me to BR so it looks like it is the place to be. I stay here because everyone is so helpful and there is no BS ing like on so other sites.

I was looking around through Google searching for a more "national" and active message board involving bass fishing as opposed to just local or regional boards.  Bass Resource had the most activity so I signed up and it's been fantastic.

Wasn't Google but a Yahoo search that came up The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide!

Read the name two or three times in my head & thought, yea right!

That was July 11, 2005

Merci Beaucoup Glenn!

I was a member on the old bps website forum. We all found it to start dying down there and a couple people on there brought this place to my attention.

Google got me here, and the kindness of you guys dealing with an immature 13 year old with a passion for fishing kept me here. I love this place and have learned do much through it.

I google searched"bass forums".And bassresource was the first to come up.I joined a few days later.I reached out because: I had gotten really isolated with bass fishing. Not learning-just fishing the same way.And I had to nearly beg friends to fish. Was looking for friends to fish with and learn from and to help them.Found all that through BR.Thank you!!!

I was on Tackle Tour doing rod research and someone posted a link here to get more reviews of what I was looking for.

General google searches about fishing kept turning up bassresource usually as the top link or at least in the top few.  Then I started going straight here and skipping google all together.  I lurked here as a guest for months before singing up and posting.  I can't remember exactly why I finally took the bait and signed up, probably to enter one of the giveaways.  Anyway now I'm hooked!

i found a link to this site on the website of "The Reel Mechanic", our late friend, David Green. That was 11 years ago. I lurked for about a year before joining. Don't know if it was an entire year, but it was quite a while.

Count me on the Google search tally. Anything fishing related in a Google search will have a BR thread - or at least that's how it seems. Once I read some of the articles and browsed the forum, I decided that I needed some of this in my life. After 2 months of trying to create an account, I finally had to reach out to Site Support - she created my account and I haven't looked back since.

Doing searches on the interwebs for bass fishing info and videos led me here. I belonged to several message boards, but the formats of most were lame or people just didn't visit often enough to make it worthwhile.
