Super User A-Jay Posted July 3, 2016 Super User Posted July 3, 2016 I was surfing youtube and came across some nice content by long time BR member Low Budget Hooker ~ Led me straight here. And I Am Very Glad It Did. Thanks Glenn. A-Jay 7 Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted July 3, 2016 Super User Posted July 3, 2016 I was searching for for a fishing related message board through Google and this came up. lecisnith Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 I was researching spinnerbaits and found the "Advanced Spinnerbait Techniques" video. Took me a while to fully immerse myself. What really drew me in was Glenn's knees... 7 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted July 3, 2016 Super User Posted July 3, 2016 A Google search for me as well. Looking for a review on some rods and reels at the time and it brought me here. 3 Quote

Touché ~ so that didn't type out like I intended. Thanks for help. Made a small edit to the OP. A-Jay 4 Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted July 3, 2016 Super User Posted July 3, 2016 Another for google search...in my case, multiple google searches on bass related topics that lead to BR articles and forum posts. It wasn't until I had bookmarked several of them that I realized they were all from the same place.....here. 3 Quote
Fun4Me Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 I saw one of your video's on YT and followed your advice over to here 3 Quote
Super User senile1 Posted July 3, 2016 Super User Posted July 3, 2016 A Google search brought me here as well. I was searching for bass related websites in 2004 when I came upon BR. I lurked and read stuff for almost a year before I joined as a member. 5 Quote
riverbasser Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Same here. Google searching different techniques. I always pick links from different forums since they are generally better info. I probably read things on this board for more than a year before I got an email that would work to join. To me BR is like my wife's Facebook 6 Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted July 3, 2016 Super User Posted July 3, 2016 I was asked on another forum to go to this site and answer a question nobody had replied to for several days. 6 Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted July 3, 2016 Super User Posted July 3, 2016 Google search about techniques/tackle and was so impressed I signed up. Great site then and certainly continues to be. 4 Quote
Torn Thumb Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 When I Google searched the Ned rig and a few other things, I always wound up here. Once I found myself on the main page with the list of threads I realized I had been missing out by only reading the specific threads Google led me to. Pretty good forum where the fires are put out quickly and any questions I could think of have already been answered. Thanks bass resource. 5 Quote

This except for the midnight shift part. I stayed because of the info, format and vibe. Many other sites let people get really personal with each other, and others can be tough to navigate. I'm too stressed out from real life to argue with people about anything- fishing least of all- so I find it really nice here. The members freakin rock. Can't even begin to describe the advice, hookups, deals and such... It's literally the only reason I have nice gear. I could never afford it otherwise. Much love to everybody here that makes it what it is. 4 Quote

MIbassin Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 I was 14 and wanted to learn as much as I could about bass fishing. Any search related to a lure, technique, etc.. eventually brought me to BR. It was too good not to become a member! 3 Quote
OCdockskipper Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 A friend referred me to it. He found it while researching pond boats, he kept getting results that took him to the super long thread on Bass Raiders. He used that thread to decide what boat to get as well as ideas on customizing it. When I got my boat, I just copied his modifications that I liked... 3 Quote
