Sebago Area Maine

I go to sebago lake every year and bring my cartopper up.  We stay in Raymond and Im hoping someone on here has some intimate knowledge of the area.  So far I have fished Thomas pond, crescent lake, panther pond and a couple others.  Ive found some producing areas in all of them but hoping to find someone that can put me on some big ones.  Feel free to PM me if you dont feel like disclosing areas.  Thanks everyone.

Almost all ponds in the area have bass. The less pressured ones can be pretty good.

Little Sebago is another one of my favorites up there, and I fished it out of my little 8' basshunter when the weather cooperated. Panther/cresent has some incredible bass in it as well. Actually most of the small ponds in the area offer awesome bass fishing. I've caught some big bass up there, with bucket mouths mixing in with the smallies. And im talking about big, healthy, clean largemouths. The kind that drives one to want to live up there, or at least a summer cabin. The small area on the other side of the road from the public ramp on moose pond has produced some monster bass for me.  A little to the west, hancock pond is another good one. But to be honest? Sebago rules, if the wind cooperates, the northeastern area (near point sebago) offers some awesome fishing topography,.. islands, rockpiles, humps etc. with nice smallies and said largemouths mixed in. Just consider that the waters clarity is usually 25 to 30 feet and the bass usually see you before you see them. Fish it accordingly and you will be pleasently surprised. But before heading out there make sure the wind isnt going to blow from the south. I've seen three to four foot waves at the state park,..., not conducive to a cartopper by any means

Thanks Keith.  Been going for 4 years and never really launched into Sebago, just too big for me but if I know where to look that's a different story.  

I found some amazing spots on Thomas pond that produce but no lunkers.  Two years ago I went to crescent and then up the tenney River to Panther.  I had one of the best days ever frog fishing in the river.

i got a new depth finder with side scan so I'm hoping it will help me unlock Thomas a bit better I really like that BOW

We actually stay in the north east end in Raymond so maybe I'll try that out.

I fish just up the road on Long Lake.  Never fished Sebago, but its often over looked for smallies.  On Long Lake in the summer its a lot of plastics for me in 10-20 feet of water.  Tube jigs, senkos, fat ikas, and drop shot do well in the summer.  Fish in deeper water near structure.  You can also jig and pig for hawgs too but the bite will be slower.  Guys in the glitter boats pound docks all day with mixed results.  Wind is a bigger factor on Sebago as others have said, so keep an eye on the weather.
