Don't bother, McCoy is highly overrated. IMHO I have tried Yozuri Ultra Soft and found it a very good line for castability. What is the primary attribute you want in a co-polymer, beyond the absoloute necessity for it to be fundamentally as strong as its rating? You want it to cast well, assuming bait casting here. And McCoy's is nothing special. Yozuri Ultra Soft is. And P Line CX is. If it casts like a flourocarbon, and it sinks like a flourocarbon, then I don't want it. Quote
GORDO Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Ive been using the P-Line CXX and Im having a terrible time with the line memory. Im about to switch it up too. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted July 5, 2016 Super User Posted July 5, 2016 if you are gonna use CXX , buy a big spool as you have to respool after every other outing ... Quote
Super User J Francho Posted July 5, 2016 Super User Posted July 5, 2016 Treat it with KVD L&L... Been using CXX for over a decade, spools last a season or better, unless I retie a lot and have to refill. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted July 5, 2016 Super User Posted July 5, 2016 Yozuri & Pline CX, CXX. silverthread is good as well. Softer line on spinning reels for me. Quote
