The Revenge Baits flipping jig in 3/8 oz is the best skipping jig I have ever used.  They are tough to come by in VA and TX and I don't always have time to wait for an order from TW before my next derby. I need some recommendations on the best skipping jigs out there.  I tried Shooter jigs and I loved them for everything besides skipping.  Help a brother out!!!

Can't say if it's the best as I haven't tried them all but the 1/2 oz. Strike King Denny Brauer Structure Jig skip nicely.

Has a semi-flat head design that seems to help more than it hurts.

These may or may not be readily available in your area.

They are in mine.

That jig ships really well but I found that it hangs up in cover more than an arkie style for my liking.

OK ~ I'm throwing it under docks mostly where the area underneath is void of anything I can't recover the bait from.

I use siebert outdoors Arkie jigs. If you need some asap, just about every Walmart or outdoor store will have old school Arkie jigs. That's all you need.

The dock rocker from Siebert Outdoors is a great skipping jig. It's also a great all around jig for the waters I fish. It Is slowly but surely replacing his brush jigs as my favorite jig to fish.

Thanks for the info gentlemen...  I'm going to check out the dock rocker.  Looks like it has a lot of great features.

*** Jigs and any jig with a flat bottom...Green fish makes a skipping jig and so does pepper that is good...The Stanley wedge head jigs skip well. I find any arkie style jig, pan head, or even a bitsy flip will skip just fine...Never tried the revenge, they look super nice though, pricey but nice....

Is Siebert Outdoors a good place to get jigs? Better than tackle warehouse?

Sieberts are hand made, hand tied jigs.  The prices are more than fair for a wire tied jig.  His are the only jigs I use, and not because he's a forum sponsor.  They're great jigs, and Mike is a super nice and helpful guy.

1/4 oz arkie style jig with my baitcaster only half full of line "Just learned this trick and it really helps avoid line problems".

Are guys skipping with a baitcaster? I skip spinning a lot but can't seem to get baitcaster down.

Old thread but just adding this as some info. The BOSS Dock Knocker head with your favorite skirt is the best skipping head I have come across. 1/2oz is my favorite, but 3/8 is also great.

It's an excellent head around wood and laydowns. Not a great weed jig though.
