Sassy sticks

Has anyone tried these? Got my first bag in the mail today and from the video on line they seem to work exactly like a Senko. Just wondering if anyone else has got a bag of them.

I've gotten multiple bags of them and they were great. Highly recommended.

When I created my username, all stick baits were the same to me, aka senkos.

Yes, they are excellent. Even weightless they have the pronounced wiggle, wacky or t-rigged. And, compared to GYCB senkos, they smell...."better".

I'm not too worried about a smell, I'll spray some shad spray on them regardless, if I hook up on fish like I have with senkos I'll be buying some of these things in bulk.

I'm going to take this to mean that you are hooking up with some bass now.  Way to go.

Yea, but only on senkos, I try lures and spinnerbait every time I go out, and I never get any hits. I'm sure I'm making a bad presentation but I won't stop trying them out.

I don't think there are any rules that state what you have to catch them on, so keep doing what works.  Anytime you want to meet up, let me know.

No, but I'd like to be able to use other things besides soft baits sometime

Start playing around with lipless crank baits. They have a tendency to be productive and very versatile. Of course once you start losing them on trees, you'll be right back to Senkos.  Lol. Gets expensive when you don't have a boat to go out and grab them. I've been having a blast with a Whopper Plopper this year too. Just be prepared for people to tell you that top water doesn't work on sunny days as you are catching fish on top water on sunny days. I've had a lot of that this year.

I have a whopper plopper I've played around with a little top water but mostly around Lilly pads and what not I've lost a few crank baits on some trees or even rocks, I'm just running through senkos so quickly on a day out on the water it's getting expensive. I'm gonna try to start taking my ripped ones and repouring them into new ones but I'm not ready for that yet

I just got 3 bags to try myself. Was going to try them tomorrow but it may have to wait. 

I can say comparison before fishing they seem to be a nice replacement for the originals. A fraction smaller diameter but 1/2" longer. They feel really similar to the touch. 

I'm anxious to try them.myself.

From the video they have online they seem to have a good shimmy to them, I'm hoping it's just a little different under water since I fish a high preached lake and maybe it would be a little edge to get more hits. 

 

Either way come rain or shine I'm hitting the lake Saturday to test these out.

the Sassy sticks are very good ! great shimmy on the fall , i like the shiny , smooth finish on them , and they look great in the water . oh yeah , they catch fish !!! gonna put together another order in the next couple of days ...

So, I've been fishing these sassy sticks in all my normal fishing places, even the little pond I hit up just to get some small LMB's. 

Everything keeps spitting the baits out before I can even set the hook. Like I'm getting bites. I can feel them but they don't hold that bait for more then a half a second before they spit it. 

I'm wondering if maybe it's whatever they use to make the baits not smell like plastic. I usually use some yum shad spray on my soft plastics and I'm still getting spit out.

I got to try a 5" sassy Saturday and it was OK. Didn't get a big effort to use them as the 8" Yum tequila sunrise worm was what the black bass wanted. But I see no reason they can't replace the senko.

It's your setup with the spinnerbaits. For me tossing a plain spinnerbaits right out of the package doesn't work. But adding a blue glimmer skirt, with a Colorado or Indiana single or twin blades with a mister twister 4" split double tail white grub with a trailer hook plus one shot of scent works.

The Sassy Shad or other senko type baits I use a 1/8oz 24" c-rig.  You can let it fall on its own or twitch the rod tip as it falls. Make it free fall or take it to the dance. BizzBaits sassy Shad is good stuff it's affordable not over priced. It keeps me above the dollar menu at mickys.

I fish from shore. When fishing a new place the hummingbird portable cast out fish finder tells me the bottom structure and dept. it shows where the fish are plus how to fish it.

Glenn here taught me about spinnerbaits.  I try to stick with each new bait and try many different presentations. Trust me all this stuff works. Stick with it and hone your skills.

i wash my hands with big orange before I go fishing. I do not handle gasoline or oils after washing my hands. Our hands must be Oder free.
