What is that rod a Powell Max3D?  It looks good on it.

I have the predecessor to it the Powell Max 683 matched up with a Diawa Tatula 6.3-1.  Man that is the most versatile rod I own. I got it to pitch jigs around docks.  I usually have 12 rods under my deck (not always the same 12 depending on the type of waters I am going to fish) but somehow that rig always ends up on the top deck.

Powell rods are not as well known because a lot of the big stores do not carry them but they make a a couple of nice series of rods and all of them are less than $170 bucks.

Yes, I picked up all 3 of mine for 150.00 at my local store. I have two 3ds and 1 endurance.

Powell rods do have a reputation as being nice rods for their price point.  I only have one...an Endurance 723C.  Very nice.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Max 3 rods as I've read they are even better.

I always told myself when I can buy a Steez and not feel guilty about testing it out, or even better the Megabass tuned version I would have made it both in my career and marriage. Congratulations.
