Yeah, right. I guess this scam has been going on for a while, but I just got my first call. So just be aware..The IRS will NEVER contact you with a robo-call.

I got one of these calls too.  Knew right away it was BS, but I'm sure they get people all the time!

We were getting these a couple of months ago.  I asked the guy for his number so I could call him back. No more calls.

This is the reason I don't answer the phone if it's a number I don't know.

I've been getting a number that calls be 3-4 times a day now never used to leave a message but now they do. Can't understand the robot but she butchers my name then goes on to say I've been awarded $7000 in a settlement. Wish this one wasn't a scam but I'm sure it is.

I have been having a ball with these people.

I have been calling them back and I cuss at them; ask horrible sexual questions; find out if they eat cows; and now plan to use my boat's air horn when I call them back tomorrow and make sure the horn works.

The number I have is 855.601.0009.

Call them and have some inappropriate fun. Anything goes. The nastier and gross you can get is best.

Got a text a couple of days ago that read this....Effective immediately your enforcement officer will be Michele Reider. You can contact her at MicheleReider@pacses.com.  Guess its a scam cause I don't have a enforcement officer and I don't know what one is.

I received the same phone call 2-3 years ago. I made the middle eastern man so upset with me by giving him questions and IRS regulations and related talking points, he hung up on me! Sometimes, playing their game and NOT giving anything information at ALL is the best way to handle it. I felt better after the call. Yes. IRS will send information via mail. IRS does have scam hotline/link to report the number.

Got my first call from them last year.  I ticked off the lady so much she told me to "go kill myself" and hung up on me.

Just tried to call to sexually harass them but it was just a busy tone, and then I tried again and it said the call cannot be connected. :(

Just so everyone knows, the IRS only uses the mail to contact you, they don't call.

I keep getting robocalls in Spanish for some reason.  I have be able to grab a friend a few times to translate and it seems to be some kind of BS debt collection deal.  Now when I get them I just keep saying "hola!" in a very loud and friendly voice until they hang up.

In general, the best defense against scammers, assuming they get you on the phone, is to immediately cut them off and say "My lawyer handles all this stuff, give him a call, his name is (made up name) at (local firm that advertises on the radio)", then hang up.  The idea is that it's isn't going to be worth their time to try to get money out of you and can get your number taken off their lists.
