dge1993 Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Hey everyone, New to the forum here and trying to get some help on identifying these curly tail grubs. They are a 2 inch curly tail grub that have a brownish body and purple tail. When held up to light, the brown color fades away, and the purple color shines through the main body. They work great around where i live, and the small mouth seem to hit them even when nothing else works. They were given to me by a friend, and I only have these two left. I know it might be hard to identify the company who makes them, but does anyone know what the color scheme would be called? or something similar being made today? Thanks!!! Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 God only knows, there are a million grubs out there. I would find a custom soft plastic company online and have them make some for you. There are quite a few that promise they can replicate colors for you. You might have to order a hundred at once, but if they are one of you go to baits, it will be worth it. Here is a guy that says he can match you bait/colors: http://www.bustersbaits.com/ There is a list of others on this site: http://www.customtackledirectory.com/soft-plastics.html There are a bunch more if you play around with phrasing on google. Good luck. 1 Quote
OCdockskipper Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 If there is no brand name on the tail, then most likely it is a generic knockoff. Mister Twister, Gary Yamamoto and most name brand companies make a similar product that should give you the same results. Quote
Tanner English Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Idk the brand but probably a tequila sunrise color... Never caught a smally but I hear they hate pinkish colors Quote
dge1993 Posted June 28, 2016 Author Posted June 28, 2016 Thanks for the help guys, I figured it would probably be a lost cause with no markings on it at all. I will give one of the companies a try, maybe they can replicate it. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 I was thinking Tequila Sunrise at first, but maybe even a PB&J. Good luck DGE Quote
