Hey guys I was wondering if anyone ever uses straight shank flipping hooks for senkos in heavy cover. I have a tournament in a few weeks that will involve alot of flipping lily pads. I usually flip a senko with an EWG superline hook but was wondering in the heavier cover if a 5/0 straight shank flipping hook would be better? Just wondering what you guys thoughts on this were. Thanks for the info guys.

Absolutely. I normally use a 4/0 EWG on senkos but will use a flipping hook if I'm fishing it in heavy cover.

I use the roboworm rebarb hook which is a slightly lighter wire hook than most of the "flipping" hooks pretty regularly. I like it, works great and It'd definitely work going with one of the marketed flipping hooks. A Gama Superline or something would work just fine as well.
