tje0705 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Hey guys I was wondering if anyone ever uses straight shank flipping hooks for senkos in heavy cover. I have a tournament in a few weeks that will involve alot of flipping lily pads. I usually flip a senko with an EWG superline hook but was wondering in the heavier cover if a 5/0 straight shank flipping hook would be better? Just wondering what you guys thoughts on this were. Thanks for the info guys. Quote
Oklahoma Mike Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Absolutely. I normally use a 4/0 EWG on senkos but will use a flipping hook if I'm fishing it in heavy cover. Quote
Ktho Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I use the roboworm rebarb hook which is a slightly lighter wire hook than most of the "flipping" hooks pretty regularly. I like it, works great and It'd definitely work going with one of the marketed flipping hooks. A Gama Superline or something would work just fine as well. Quote
