Rod I can use for cranks, spinner baits, chatterbaits.

Is there a possible rod action and power that I could use for crankbaits, spinner baits and chatterbaits? I know I'm pushing it but I'm also on a budget.

You need a mh rod with an action in between fast and mod. Falcon bucoo has a couple options i beleive

personally a medium fast action rod would be my choice to do all of this. I know not exactly conventional but it works for me.

What is your budget for the rod and what is your reel budget?  I can make some good suggestions if i know what you intend on spending for each. or maybe you have a reel already for this

I use a bass pro shops crankin stick  7' medium heavy that is rated as fast but is more like moderate fast because it is a graphite/glass combination.  It is a great rod for all those baits.

And if you're on a limited budget, the Daiwa Tatula cranking rod is an excellent bang for the buck.

Again you did not mention a budget but one person suggested a Falcon Buccoo. For an inexpensive option WalMart often sells the Falcon Buccoo trapmaster which is a 7 foot Medium moderate rod that spec 1/4 to 3/4.  Tackle Warehouse sells that rod for $109. I got mine at Wal Mart for about $40 on sale two years ago. I fish rattle traps, small to mid sized crankbaits and it could easily handle some spinnerbaits or chatterbaits.

Anywhere from MH/mod to M/fast ought to do the trick. I use a 6'6" MH/MF Lightning Rod for the spinnerbaits (chatterbait) and buzzbaits and a M/MF Lightning Rod for the cranks and topwaters. But they're almost interchangeable. I really love the action of the Medium for topwaters with trebles and Rat L Traps. These are some applications that don't require much sensitivity, which makes the cheaper rod a good value.

Honestly the bass pro store brand rods aren't that bad, I'd try some out.

100% Correct.  The BuCoo Trap Caster would be perfect for this scenario.

I've got an old Lowrider rod that would do all these. It's their LFC-5-17 Big Crank 7' MH/MF. They still make it. But I use it as my T-rig rod simply because it's easily the most sensitive rod I own. I have braid on it so hooksets are not an issue.

Two ways to go here I think.

Go a bit lighter in power with a fast action, or go heavier with a moderate or mod-fast action. Lure weight and line type are also factors.

If your budget allows, Megabass makes a lot of do-everything moving bait rods.
