What color Silicone would you use to make this a swim Jig?

I have been buying skirts from Skirts Unlimited and making some colors to match my favorite lures, and I want to match this Rebel Color up as close as possible but I am not sure what some colors look like....

For any expert jig makers...Would you use whiskey Gold Flake or Neon Gold as a body, chart as highlights, and really it is just a standard Chart with Gold? I am planning on buying some jig heads from Siebert and I wasn't sure if anyone knew what the River Rock looked like? I don't want the color to be all flash or have alot of scaling unless they make a gold/chart mix I am not aware of.

The Red on the top of the lures is just a red sharpie that washes off but I use so I can see the bait..I don't want a bleeding bait, I think 2 of these lures have red on the back and because I actually swim these I don't want to make it permanent....

I know gold and chart seems simple but I don't want it to be overbearing, maybe mix it with a River Rock color? Any help appreciated, This color is one of my favorites in stained water & want to make some swiim jigs to match for shiners...

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing...I notice they have a few new mixes of Road kill but I figure I will grab some Road Kill, Also some gold neon for highlights, chartruese gold and I need to get some highlight colors anyhow so I may try a Whiskey Gold, I have some that looks really gold, and for some reason I am not a fan of the shiner scale patterns....

 

I like the mix...Wired, Dalmation, and looks like the standard as well....I have a hard time spending less than $150 whenever I buy skirts and hubs, jig heads, so I want to keep this batch to just a simple plan...6 colors, and I am not letting myself get carried away as it get's addicting for me....I am in love with that Lighting Bug Color that they have, it works great here in Florida, also the Cali 420 mixes for punching is really a good color...I have been using Black Red flake, Green Pumpkin big Red flake, and then some brown Red and it is really good..

In reality, I need to just buy Black, Brown, GP, Watermelon, White, Chart, and then a few packs of HL colors, but Seeing that Roadkill which was out of stock the last time I ordered in the type I wanted has me ready to order....

Thanks for the help...That color will go great with any color, Hopefully this color works as well as the Floating Rip baits....Was happy to find that color, I only had 1 left, so why not a jig???

Believe me, you don't want to be like me..It is a sickness, I get addicted to some type of tackle making each year and now it is custom skirts, and Skirts Unlimited has a way to get you, you have to buy same color to get 40% off, that is 12.00 for 100 tabs which is almost wholesale direct from Vietnam when you add in shipping so I can't just buy 1...I have so many tabs that I now just sell mixes on Ebay and 2-3 times a week I will sell a mix of 50 for $20 so at least I get my money back. I also will sell some punch skirts here and there and now Friends are buying some stuff and it all equals out but I never collect. 

I just like messing with colors and Luckily I have a few ponds in my complex that have really good bass Fishing (Somehow Bass were stocked in there about the same time I moved in 4 years ago, and whoever put them in did a good job of picking young 2-3lb bass to stock.) Testing lures is fun, and you know right away if your bait is good or not, same with colors...

These fish have seen everything, People fish the ponds and they leave because they are almos

t impossible to catch on lures plus some guy kept dumping trees and structure in the water at night to make it hard to fish, but If it works in the ponds here, they work better on the lakes...

Off Topic, but I am 100% confident that any bass over 3lbs will never strike a Senko, Spinnerbait, or Frog. I throw them all the time to get them conditioned and with so many 12" shiners and crawfish, Tilapia and bluegill, once they hit 3lbs they don't chase anything, I actually think it is harder to catch Florida Strain in ponds that have been caught before than in lakes. They only get sloppy at night after it rains it seems or if you use something very subtle in color and natural...That is how the skirt addiction came about, I wanted to find the best flipping colors for punch skirts and jigs and sure enough, match the water color, and then add the next closest flake, and you are good..Smoke brown purple smoke green, watermelon blue translucents....Black and blue used to work but they learn, I am convinced, or they just hear you coming...who knows, when I grow a legit giant it will be worth it.

You know, even though I have alot of different color/pattern skirt tabs, the most productive for me in the clear waters we have around here are Black, Pearl white and white!

I can tell you that two of the largest bass I have caught were on topwater- Black Jitterbug and Black Buzzbait- in the middle of summer, and they both had injuries. This supports your theory in that if they were 100% healthy, they probably would not have been looking for such easy prey.
