Hey all, I was wanting some input. I'm thinking about buying a jdm scorpion 1500. I have a chronarch200e7, would the scorpion be a better reel? Or should I just get another chronarch or curado?

Not trying to be a wise guy, but I would bet if a guy did an internet search on this subject he would get enough information to be an expert on the subject in no time.

Seriously, this has been discussed a zillion times in a zillion places.

Not sure which edition scorpion you are referencing, but from what I can tell you won't be disappointed, plus... that color! B)

Don't overlook the new Curado 70, which comes in an 8.2:1 version in the 70XG model.. I have two and they are really incredibly great reels.  Shimano really hit the jackpot with this reel. Small, light, fast  and smooth, but $200 a pop.  They have a smaller line capacity, but I have not noticed a problem because of it.  Both reels are spooled with 12lb fluorocarbon with mono backing on 7' MH Carbonlite rods and I use them for fishing plastics.  I like them more than my Curado 50E's.

The scorpion 1500 is same as curator with different color. The chronarch is the next reel above both.
