I recently bought a few packages of these to try out. I'm not sure what makes them different other than a small difference in shape but, these things are outfishing my Ragebugs and my R.I. Sweet Beavers! Very nice bait and they hold up pretty well on the hook. I'm impressed!

I've mainly been throwing the Bruiser color and of course Green Pumpkin.

Great bait for flipping and pitching. Killed it during the spawn with the baby d bomb.

Super bug is my favorite color. They flat out get bit. I have stopped using sweet beavers after using d bombs.

I love the D Bombs. I find that air gets trapped in those ribs on the body, which can make a bubble or two on the bottom whenever you're dragging it around.

Is it a good bait to bank fish with or is it mainly a flipping pitching bait?

When I am bank fishing I am mainly flipping and pitching to weed lines and lay downs.  The baby d bombs have been the best producer for me this year and it hasn't even been close.

Texas rig, Tokyo rig, Carolina rig

Texas rig would be my first recommendation for you, use a 2/0 or 3/0 size EWG hook with a 1/8 oz bullet weight, check out many of the Texas rig forums here for tips

Since this thread was pulled out of its five-year grave, I'll add one seldom-mentioned use of a D-Bomb...  take a fresh, slippery one out of the package and toss it in your girlfriend's/wife's lap by surprise, especially if she's wearing shorts.  Often, some not-quite-Olympic-quality gymnastics will ensue.  ?

This may be just as effective on men as well; I just haven't tried it on any yet...

I fish the Baby D Bombs most often on a straight 3/0 flipping hook (Eagle Claw Laser Sharp) with a pegged 1/4 oz worm sinker.  I haven't had the luck that some have fishing them other ways, nor have I with the Sweet Beaver.  Something about pitching them to shallow cover has worked for me, and I use a color that's sort of blue on one side and green pumpkinish on the other.  Only 1 fish this year on it though.

Been getting good results fishing both the Baby D Bomb and Baby D Stroyer on the Free Rig.

Super Bug and Green Pumpkin Flash colors on 1/4 oz weight and 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG
