jtharris3 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 I recently bought a few packages of these to try out. I'm not sure what makes them different other than a small difference in shape but, these things are outfishing my Ragebugs and my R.I. Sweet Beavers! Very nice bait and they hold up pretty well on the hook. I'm impressed! I've mainly been throwing the Bruiser color and of course Green Pumpkin. Quote
Big Swimbait Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Price is better also. I like the Baby D-Bomb in the Desert Storm color. 1 Quote
Caliyak Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Great bait for flipping and pitching. Killed it during the spawn with the baby d bomb. Quote
Kidflex Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Super bug is my favorite color. They flat out get bit. I have stopped using sweet beavers after using d bombs. Quote
Nathan Burton Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I love to baby D bomb. Oh, And also their destroyer Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted June 24, 2016 Super User Posted June 24, 2016 I love the D Bombs. I find that air gets trapped in those ribs on the body, which can make a bubble or two on the bottom whenever you're dragging it around. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted June 24, 2016 Super User Posted June 24, 2016 they are fish catchers for sure. was using the baby d bomb as a jig trailer last time i was out and the fish liked it! Quote
Super User burrows Posted June 24, 2016 Super User Posted June 24, 2016 Is it a good bait to bank fish with or is it mainly a flipping pitching bait? Quote

When I am bank fishing I am mainly flipping and pitching to weed lines and lay downs. The baby d bombs have been the best producer for me this year and it hasn't even been close. Quote
Womanking7 Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Hi... new to fishing and been wanting to try the baby d bombs but confused as to the best type of hook and rig to use. Any help would be appreciated! Quote
Kenny Yi Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Texas rig, Tokyo rig, Carolina rig Texas rig would be my first recommendation for you, use a 2/0 or 3/0 size EWG hook with a 1/8 oz bullet weight, check out many of the Texas rig forums here for tips Welcome to the forum! Quote
Mr. Aquarium Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Dbomb, what can’t you do with it. Flip it, t rig, jig trailer, chatterbait trailer, You name it, you can do it 2 Quote
desmobob Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Since this thread was pulled out of its five-year grave, I'll add one seldom-mentioned use of a D-Bomb... take a fresh, slippery one out of the package and toss it in your girlfriend's/wife's lap by surprise, especially if she's wearing shorts. Often, some not-quite-Olympic-quality gymnastics will ensue. ? This may be just as effective on men as well; I just haven't tried it on any yet... 4 Quote
CountryboyinDC Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 I fish the Baby D Bombs most often on a straight 3/0 flipping hook (Eagle Claw Laser Sharp) with a pegged 1/4 oz worm sinker. I haven't had the luck that some have fishing them other ways, nor have I with the Sweet Beaver. Something about pitching them to shallow cover has worked for me, and I use a color that's sort of blue on one side and green pumpkinish on the other. Only 1 fish this year on it though. Quote
RobiB Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Been getting good results fishing both the Baby D Bomb and Baby D Stroyer on the Free Rig. Super Bug and Green Pumpkin Flash colors on 1/4 oz weight and 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG Quote
