Brett's_daddy Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 What do people think about the H2O Xpress baits...specifically the cranks, top water and hard jointed swim baits? They look as good as the name brands and are half the price. Quote
Big Swimbait Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Excellent value. I'm a big fan of their square bills & swimbaits. 1 Quote
McKinneyLonghorn Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I am a huge fan of their wakebaits and squarebills. I have also caught fish on the sunfish swimbait, but it is the only swimbait I have ever used so I don't have anything to compare it to. I will say that it sinks fairly quickly, even though the website says it is slow sinking. Although it says they come with premium VMC hooks, I have found the hooks on the wakebaits to be low quality so I swap them out with either Triple Grips or Owner 36s. With the premium hooks they are fish-catching machines. I am going to Florida next week and will be fishing off the beach in Navarre for ladyfish, trout and whatever else will bite. I plan on throwing a wide variety of chrome black back H2O baits while I am there. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 22, 2016 Global Moderator Posted June 22, 2016 I have some of almost all their hard baits and they're all great value baits. The squarebills, jerkbaits, traps, walking toowater, and propbaits are my favorites. Quote
S. Sass Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I have some of their baits and have no real complaints. The 3 1/2" swim baits need the rear hook treatment though. Quote

Super User Gundog Posted June 22, 2016 Super User Posted June 22, 2016 At that price I can't think of a down-side. The cranks are at least 2 bucks less than Strike King so you won't have to rob a bank to collect a good supply of them. Plus they have lures that are mirror images of popular lures. Just can't wait till they come out with a whopper plopper style bait. Quote
aprestonSEK Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Really like their poppers. Nice looking paint jobs and good hooks. Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted June 22, 2016 Super User Posted June 22, 2016 I have one of the sunfish swimbaits. I haven't caught anything on it after hours of trying, even when bass were on the bed and guarding fry. It sinks fast and the action of it is unrealistic to me. It 5/8 oz but casts so poorly I had to use it on a spinning combo. But I know it'll have a time and place. Hey, what should one expect from a $5 jointed swimbait, right? Quote

smr913 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I love their shallow 2-4 ft squarebill for river fishing. They work great and are cheap enough that if I lose one I don't feel like I have to take a swim to retrieve it. They have a translucent red craw color that is dynamite for smallies. Quote
Jaw1 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I really like their flat side cranks when the waters cooler. They out catch my bombers and sk flat baits Quote

Super User Jrob78 Posted June 22, 2016 Super User Posted June 22, 2016 You won't find better baits at that price. Quote
buzzfrog Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 A+++, I don't mind getting 10 bucks lost on these in underwater structure, outside of finicky fish, I catch em on these same as strike kings and rapala Quote
primetime Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Terminal Tackle, All Hardbaits are good, I have used the basics, but I use them mostly for hooks and weights, $25 free shipping..The Pistol is a great topwater, and they make some good looking wake baits and shallow cranks that I have not used all that much but I am sure they will work well, the lipless crankbait works well, also the Megabass Ko looking bait that says FLoater.......It is a good quality SUSPENDING JERKBAIT, they have never corrected it, it will dive and suspend but the colors are great, they peel like every other bait, but I hear the Frogs are good as well...They have a Spro Poppin Frog right now under their label and the size seems to be in between, for $3 I would grab one but they use Eagle Claw hooks which I have been told need sharpening, but they have a bluegill color frog for $3 that looks as good as any other....I use their tungsten and Hooks, never had a problem, Pistol, and the double prop baits are a steal when you see the color in person, VMC hooks....They do a good job with pricing and House Lures...Looks like companies are taking notice, they are all getting better and Lucky Craft has lures for under $10 now, so maybe the house brands helped lower prices.... flyingmonkie Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I use them frequently - great value! I feel like the larger square bills tend to get hung up a little more than a Strike King would, but hard to beat for $3. Quote
Gus Heinze Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Picked up a handful of these today at my local Academy. All H20 Xpress baits are $1 off from 3/7/2018-3/20/2018 at my local store. This makes some of them $1.99, after the discount. Can't beat that deal anywhere. Quote
