I have a Minn Kota trolling motor, 54 lb. thrust, on my Ranger R61. The trolling motor has a 2 blade prop.

My question is "would there be any advantage to going to a three blade prop?"

Two blade props give more speed but don't work pads and hydrilla well, three blade pulls harder and works in weeds better but not as fast.  Four blade works in weeds best but is the slowest of three.
