Read a lot and fish a lot and it will come. You might need to try a new spot or fish ponds. Also zoom trick worms Texas rigged caught me my first few fish Quote
jsbossert Posted June 19, 2016 Author Posted June 19, 2016 Thanks, fishing on and off for 15 years. I know there are pigs in the lake. I'll keep plugging away Quote
blckshirt98 Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Fish a dropshot and your luck and confidence will change dramatically! Quote
lucasbdog Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 If that doesnt work ive been killing it here recently with a weightless senko Quote
d-camarena Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Try a weightless senko, fished slow. If that doesnt work try a weighted senko. If that dosent work try a fluke. Last resort the ned rig. You should catch bass. Quote
jsbossert Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 Zayne, mainly crankbaits.. thanks everyone ill try those, i dont use soft plastics much on the boat. Guess i should try it more Quote

Guess i should try it more Buzz baits make for a good bass lure, and if you are fishing an area with a lot of lilies then try flippin a frog. Try wacky rigging a senko, great reaction bites and pretty cheap so if you lose a few it aint too big a deal. I mostly use frogs, buzz baits, soft plastics, and occasionaly a crank bait. I fish my soft plastic worms texas rigged and have caught a couple hogs like that, but my best is a buzz bait. Quote
jsbossert Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 Not many lillies, lots of steep drops. I need to use plastics more, i must admit i dont use them nearly enough. I use them in ponds all the time but off the boat i dont. Thanks again Quote

S. Sass Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Get you a couple basic bass lures. White 3/8oz spinner bait A simple Texas rigged worm (smaller gets more bites bigger less but generally bigger) Green Pumpkin is a known good universal color. Now toss away either or will do well if you have located the bass. 1 Quote
