Moatsie Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Do I buy a shimano Cumara for 160, or should I keep looking for a different rod? Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted June 18, 2016 Super User Posted June 18, 2016 Well are you referring to the Gen1 or Gen 2 Cumara rods. Most prefer the Gen1 sometimes referred to as the charcoal or black blanks. I have 4 of those (2 casting and 2 spinning). They are great rods with great looks. What model are you looking at? As long as it fits what you are looking for spec wise it would be a good buy. They used to retail for around $240. Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted June 18, 2016 Super User Posted June 18, 2016 If they are the Gen 1, I'd get it. If it's the red one that is getting phased out, I'd say no and save your money for a Zodias. Quote
blckshirt98 Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 I have two Gen 1 Cumaras and they're awesome rods. Have not owned any Gen 2 Cumaras though. Quote
Kidflex Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Nothing wrong with the red cumaras. I have 8 of them and love each one. Can find em cheaper than $160 too. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted June 19, 2016 Super User Posted June 19, 2016 Welcome aboard! For $160, I'd say a Cumara is a decent deal. Quote
d-camarena Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Thats a good price, if you want something a little better id pay for a zodias, best rods ive ever had. I now have 6 Quote
