We tore them up one day early this year with high 30mph sustained winds and gust in the low 50's. I see some of those clips of some pros on the great lakes or other large bodies of water when there's white caps and the boat is rocking. I don't know how they don't get seasick or how more people don't go overboard on their bass boats with no rail. Or even how they don't stumble around on deck and step on a few rods. Quote
wnspain Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 This is the western prairie and as I've said before, if you don't fish in the wind in Oklahoma, you don't fish much. That being said, any wind that needs to be classified on a Fujita scale, usually chases me off the lake... Quote
Super User Gundog Posted June 20, 2016 Super User Posted June 20, 2016 I fish from a 16' canoe and the lake its moored at is on top of a mountain so wind is almost always an issue. If there is a small breeze where I live, the lake is gonna be rolling. Usually 10mph is my limit. Above that puts white caps on the water and makes it impossible to fish. I've tried to anchor during wind above 10mpg but the wind just ends up spinning me around. Quote
