Anybody use 20lb Big Game line for jigs?

I have used Trilene Big Game for heavy jigs and worms many times and pound for pound I find it hard to beat...I really like that they offer it in green and clear. I also love the Price for 600 yards, but I use it in area's with heavy cover since it is abrasion resistant, designed for saltwater (that is a good thing for me) and 20lb casts very well without much memory on casting reels.

I also like to use Triple Fish Camo line since I am a line watcher. They make it in 16,18, 20, and 25....You can also by a spool of 440 yards for around $10 and it has perlon added to it so it stretches back to its original shape, blends in under water but glows above the water. I know Hi Seas Recently Purchased Triple Fish lines so I expect to start seeing them in stores soon, if looking for an Armor tough line that is very affordable I find that line to be some of the best on the market for flipping/pitching and punching. I don't think I have ever had the 18lb test break on me unless it was my fault.

20lb can be a bit light in some instances but I find using anything heavier in a Mono or copoly, Fluoro to mess up my presentations.....I use Big Game in 15 and 20 for fresh and salt and it is always on at least one of my rods and has been for years, so yes, it is a great choice. I trust Berkley and Stren to make a good line since they have been doing it for son long...

Plenty of folks here love Big Game.  Personally, I prefer braid with a floro or copolymer leader.

For years I used another line, I won't go into bashing it by name here but after two bad spools (bought at different times) with unexplained breakoffs and no resolution when I contacted the company, I made the move to Big Game earlier this Spring. I use 15 lb for jigs/worms. On 15lb, I'll bend hooks, pull up trees, and throw a shoulder out of joint before it breaks....lol

I use 8lb for deep cranks and spinning gear.

Well it will certainly work for creek chubs, though 15 lb is probably more than enough unless your chubs are in some really nasty cover.

I have no use for Big Game line.   I've had too many issues with it in the past.   Kinking - random breakages - easily nicked - uneven strength - you name it.    If I used it for hanging pictures - I'd probably use ten strands, just to be sure.   OK - big game rant over.

Seriously - I like Seaguar Abrazx for jigs - jka rigs - most "feel type " baits.   15 or 17 lb is what I use most often.   Specifically I use 20 lb abrazx for my bubba drop shot rig.   I use 10 lb abrazx for throwing quarter ounce Brewer slider heads and 5" paddle tail worms.

20# Floroclear for now...Soon to be Sniper..I wouldn't even consider useing mono of any kind.

I love the zero-stretch quality of braid and the sensitivity it provides.  Braid with a fluoro leader is the way I like to fish jigs.  Coupled with a sensitive rod, I believe it helps you catch more fish.

15lb yozuri and/or  40lb PP in thicker cover always does the trick for me.

For jigs it's 30lb SS8 and a 17lb fluoro leader. 

I do use 20lb Big Game on a couple of my salmon rigs though and it definitely does the job.

I use 20lb Big Game on a couple swimbait setups. I like it for moving baits, not so much for bottom contact baits.
