MDBowHunter Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 What are you Swimbait guys using in deep water, say 25-30'. I primarily fish deep clear reservoirs and in the summer the good bass are in generally 25-30' of water, so that leaves me searching for a good Swimbait that will get to that depth somewhat quickly and stay there. What are you using in these conditions, any input is highly appreciated.. Quote
Super User webertime Posted June 15, 2016 Super User Posted June 15, 2016 If you are around the bottom in that 25-30' then a Carolina Rigged Keitech-type bait or top hook line through like an Osprey or Optimum works best for me. 3/4-1oz on 20lb Fuoro and a long mono leader. That's the easiest and most effective way of fishing them at depth. I've tried Hudd rof 16, and fast sink Spros, they are really hard to keep deep. Suspended at those depths, swimbait on a spin-head type head. 1 Quote

I was really interested in hardbaits, I guess I should've mentioned that. I've been looking at bullshads as they claim to be fast sinkers but will they run at them depths. Quote
Mr. Aquarium Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 huddleston! you can get floating which is an ROF 0 to ROF 16. ROF= rate of fall per 10 seconds Quote
