Last time You was on the water what bait produced the best & Location,Like shallow points deep points,anything you'd like to share about the trip ? I'm trying to learn all i can about fishing . I fish but i don't know how to fish. I put my time in working & going to Church & working in the Church & now i'm Retired I wanta learn to Fish .  GodBless  & Thanks

Last time I went fishing about three weeks ago I couldn't catch em on nothing on any fast moving baits, but a yum dinger rigged wacky on a circle hook did the job and I avoided the skunk.

I was on the fish very good last time I was out fishing trees on the first drop off the bank. They're postspawn and very seriously on a bluegill bite. A Rage Menace in Honey Candy with the tail dipped in chartreuse JJ's and T-rigged with a 4/0 hook, 1/4oz bullet weight, fished on 15lb Tatsu, was getting smoked. I also caught a good number of fish on a bluegill colored squarebill along the first drop and running it into trees. This was at a lake where I'm normally happy with 10 fish and I ended up with over 30 on a flat calm day that nearly reached triple digits temps and I was out from 10am-3pm.

jig and senko, close to cover, but not right up in it and right around the 6-8 ft of water range.

Shore fishing on a shallow, 4 foot max depth where I fish, rocky river 3" grubs and a KVD 1.5 square bill have been working now that the weather it starting to stabilize towards warm now. When it was cooler it was the Ned rig that got it done, either the Zman TRD or and Anglers choice wart hawg cut in half, thinner profile than the TRD. Even got a bonus 35-40 Pike this morning, beautiful and wide fish that I never knew grew that big on this system.

I was watching Fishing & it showed a worm rigged Wacky and the worm had a O Ring in the center of the worm for the hook but i didn't get the brand does anyone know the brand of the worm ? Thank's Guys for all the Help , i want a learn to fish Real Real Bad  GodBless & Thanks a Million  Tight Lines to all who have the Fishing Bug  .

i don't know where to get the o rings, nor what size.  but the heat shrink tube method is what i prefer, really helps prolong the life of the bait and it keeps the hook perpendicular to the worm and helps with the hook up ratios.  you can find the heat shrink tube at lowe's or home depot, 3/8" size for senkos and 1/4" size for trick worms.  this article here explains it very well.

If I hear bluegills popping, I try to get the Rebel Pop'r out there....Or a Popping frog....

Also a plastic worm of your choosing, 6" in size like a Zoom U tail will get bit weightless or with a split shot or light weight in front of it...

Don't forget to carry a few Floating Minnow baits. On my last trip, I was killing smaller fish on a Tiny Torpedo and small bomber Square A, but I put on a Gold/Black F-9 Rapala on light spinning gear, 8lb test, and it seemed like I had a hit every cast for about an hour in the middle of the day....Nothing big, but lots of action..I would keep it simple...If you are fishing the right area, I sometimes think any lure presented properly will work, a Senko is hard to beat, it seems to always catch fish,same with a Culprit.....Jigs take a bit of practice to get used to and can be frustrating when a texas rig willl often get just as much attention, maybe not as big, but big fish will eat a texas rigged creature any day of the week....
