ML casting rod HELP!

Hey I have a medium casting rod. It is a black max on a pro max reel. I fish a lot with senkos. I purchased this rod and found that it lacks sensitivity and the tip isn't super flexible should I opt this rod out for a ML casting rod? If not are there rods with a more flexible tip and if so what rod should I buy under$75?

If you t-rig the senkos you might have a hard time setting the hook and if you throw 5" senkos they will be pretty heavy for a ml rod.  It sounds like you need a better rod in medium or even mh.  I've heard good things about berkley lightening shocks.  If you bumped up to $100, your options grow exponentially.  There  might be some sales for Father's day.  Always look for sales.

A friend of mine had one of those rods, and Imo it's like most abu rods and is an action heavier than rated. Instead of a med it fishes like a mh. If you want a more sensitive rod, I'd look around for some sales, at outlet places like ffo tackle for bargains, or used on the flea market forum or other places. There are a couple of Fenwick on ffo that are much better rods than the price they are going for. A lot of stuff will be going on sale soon after icast.

you got it backwards. The faster the action the shorter the bend, the slower action the more of a parabolic bend (the majority of the rod will bend). Rods designed for crankbaits have what you're looking for...a softer tip. I throw a lot of different baits on my fiberglass crankbait rod..even texas rigged worms, But like Yudo said, the softer tip will make it harder to set hooks on baits like heavy jigs, T-Rig creature baits..etc where there is a lot of plastic the hook needs to penetrate through. I use it only for T-rigged worms and it works good.

I like rods with a moderate action than a fast action. But if Im using bottom baits where I need max sensitivity then Ill use something like  medium heavy fast action

As stated, you don't want a super flexible tip.  I personally would never use a ML for Senkos.  If I were you, I'd try to save a bit more and look at the original Tatula 7'1" MH-XF or possibly the 6'10" MHF for $109.99 from Sportsman's Outfitters...unless you can find one cheaper somewhere else.  I bought a couple from Walmart Online for less than $100 before they sold out.  Extremely nice rods.

Otherwise I would look at FFO for a rod or a Berkley Lightning.  I prefer the Lightning to the Shock.  Can't get past the Shock's color scheme.  I don't like paying full price.  Keep an eye open for sales, closeouts and used rods in good shape.

I've read good things about the Berkley E-Motion rods.  Only $5 more from TW.  A 7' MHF...or 6'9" MHF if you like a shorter rod...should work fine.  Or $62.52 + tax from Walmart Online with free shipping to a local store.
